i think im comfort eating, this bag of popcorn is slowing disappearing!

Im fine. Just caught up tho and now im thinking of having an early night. Im shattered and dont know why. Rose is sleeping all night ( well mostly!, normally till 6 ) DS is taking a life guard course over the next two weeks and its awkward to get to, so i have to be up and about to ferry him and his friends in the morning x

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker

Course of my day has been:

the 3 of us went out to brunch which was very nice

at lunch I intended to nap while he did, only he wouldn't. OH tried for half an hour, got v frustrated, I tried for a bit, we got him up again for a bit longer, then fed him again and OH determined to let him cry it out while I napped - obviously not a combo destined for great success so I lay down for a while with towel wrapped around my head trying to ignore his screams and wails... after 40 minutes OH gave up and got him up again, he just had no interest in sleeping.

By 4.30, he was totally exhausted and miserable and grinching constantly; brief booby feed and he went down for 40 minutes, woke up still very tired and upset about being awake. Eventually cheered him up though, and gave him a big supper, then let him play for a while but he looked shattered, so decided to try for normal bedtime despite late nap...

Usual bedtime routine involves 15-20 mins of BF, but OH got frustrated and upset and insisted on stopping after less than 10. He was utterly not yet ready or sated, and sobbed a lot. I gave him a beaker of cow's milk, which he drank desperately and hungrily, then went to the nursery to try to settle him.

As I stepped into the only room in our tiled and hardwood floored house with a carpet (the nursery), Elijah spewed massively all over himself, me and the floor. It was a single huge gout, way bigger than anything from him ever before, easily serious man-sized vomit. It wasn't just milk, it was all his supper and god knows what else. My only option was to climb into the bath with him and shower us both down, while OH tried to clean the floor.

OH blamed me for the vomit (too much cow's milk), blamed Elijah for the vomit and not being ready to sleep, and wouldn't take him again or change him, or try to settle him, etc. So I stuck him in the stroller and went for a long walk to try to calm him and myself down and give OH a chance to back off a bit too.

Eventually came home and let OH know I was going to take him for a drive as a last-ditch attempt to get him to sleep without more feeding, but she was happier by then and BF him again, and he has eventually gone to sleep!

So I hope Elijah really isn't ill and just threw up because he overfed because he was stressy and seeking comfort... I am v frustrated with OH who basically caused the sequence of events to start by blaming Elijah for not napping in the day and therefore being impatient with him... and I need to do some work now for tomorrow so sigh.

Anyway that doesn't really all sound that bad does it. The vomit was pretty bad though. We need to get carpet cleaner tomorrow. Hoping E sleeps through tonight, ugh.

Rhys went through 5 in one morning last week - no idea where he was storing it all up!

Awww... I'm jealous of babies with hair! I was looking at pics of Rhys earlier and he had lots of dark hair (like me) and now it's all gone. All fine and fair (like OH) now
I should have said except on poop days where he too fills about 5 extras! Chris had gone bald by 6mths so I expect Ed will to :(

Eurgh Poor Bruno and Elijah and nursery carpet, hope you put some bicarb down on it or it's gonna stink tomorrow. Sounds like just a reaction to cold milk on a stressed tummy rather than anything else. Hope you work something out soon.

awww bruno thats not good?? and typical baby being sick in the only carpeted room! i dont think he would have been sick with eating/drinking too much? although abi can make herself sick when she screams?? hope you have calmed down and can get time to chill and get work done. im trying to chill out just now but its not working lol! i have a day off on wed so thinking about booking some nice treatments and chilling out for a while!
