mmmm....me too. a wee bita meat and potato together, or potato and veg together. all dosed up in gravy or sauce of course!!

for those who eat one thing at a time......what way do u eat, say, curry and rice, or strogonoff!!!!!?????

*shudders* meat and potato together

Curry and rice is supposed to go together so I'm ok with that. I'll also dip chips into whatever sauce is going (except ketchup, I really don't like ketchup). I just prefer to prevent contamination of one thing by another.

.. Thanks for that advice. And even bigger thanks for asking how Marley is doing - he does get a little fed up that people keep asking how I am, and how Andrew is, and forgetting the dad ;)

No worries.. I remember OH having the look on his face that said the same ;)
We're just fine. Andrew was struggling a little today, it transpires that they decreased his caffeine & salt supplements two days ago, so his breathing was not as good, he was on cPap for longer, and the de-sats were more frequent. The docs reviewed it this morning and increased the doses again, so hopefully he'll be more settled tonight and tomorrow, which means we can have cuddles again.

Two steps forward, one step back.. as I'm sure you well know ;) *hugs* Any time you want to rant, you know where I am :)

.. I'm slightly surprised (but this could be me!) that everything I read suggests you should change a baby's nappy whenever it gets wet/full, which could be 6-10 times a day; and yet our SCBU only changes nappies 4 or 5 times a day. Is this just because they can keep a better eye on any problems (rash) that might result? Or are we being conned by the nappy manufacturers into changing babies more often than necessary?

We only ever changed Rhys every six hours (every other feed when he was on three hourly feeds) or whenever we *knew* (aka heard!) he needed changing.. Don't really know why, just cos we were told to :o ETA: When in SCBU, I mean. At home we just change him in the morning, when we know he needs changing, before/after going out, at random when he's whinging and at bedtime.

He was in the smallest ones to start with, but has progressed to the Micro nappies - which he manages to fill twice a day!
    :T

I've only ever changed nappies when either dirty or full which was around 10 a day for the first fortnight-ish but now is down to around 5 per 24hr period :)
