he could be in the special even smaller ones though.
Tesco did/do (??) own brand micro nappies
Pampers Micro are the ones our SCBU use for all babies (start from 2lb according to the packet, but they just folder them up if baby is smaller). Same ones as you can buy off the shelf.
Tigs, does your hospital provide all the nappies or do they ask you to bring them in? Our provided some then asked us to start buying our own nappies and cotton wool (asda cotton wool was much nicer than the hospital one anyway).0 -
was that the austic one with the singing teacher? That's the one I was blubbing at
Yes, and one proud Mum, that took a lot of courage.
Forgot to mention my DS1 went round town on his own 2wks ago and got himself a job, can't believe the confidence he showed. He's come so far.
Buttons, I've never seen a child that did combine their food, they all seem to leave their favourite until last.Too many children, too little time!!!0 -

He was in the smallest ones to start with, but has progressed to the Micro nappies - which he manages to fill twice a day!Tesco, Asda or Boots, when they have them on 2 for £6 (I think!). I only ever bought them on offer, never at full price
How is Andrew today, and you and Marley of course?
Thanks for that advice. And even bigger thanks for asking how Marley is doing - he does get a little fed up that people keep asking how I am, and how Andrew is, and forgetting the dad
We're just fine. Andrew was struggling a little today, it transpires that they decreased his caffeine & salt supplements two days ago, so his breathing was not as good, he was on cPap for longer, and the de-sats were more frequent. The docs reviewed it this morning and increased the doses again, so hopefully he'll be more settled tonight and tomorrow, which means we can have cuddles again.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

I know they ask the Mums on the normal wards to bring in nappies, I overheard a midwife trying to explain this to one of the many non-native-english-speaking Mums (rather loudly and in words of one syllable).
I'm slightly surprised (but this could be me!) that everything I read suggests you should change a baby's nappy whenever it gets wet/full, which could be 6-10 times a day; and yet our SCBU only changes nappies 4 or 5 times a day. Is this just because they can keep a better eye on any problems (rash) that might result? Or are we being conned by the nappy manufacturers into changing babies more often than necessary?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
