Does the fact I've got three mentions in Glam's post say I post too much? :o

Rhys is always doing odd things with his eyes. Noone I've asked about it seems worried about it so I'm guessing having a freaky child is just fine!

It will take a while for the muscles to become strong enough to stay open (think of newborns all curled up) but yay for opening them!!!

Will he lie on your chest?

Yeah he lies on our chest, but wont use his arms to lift himself, tries to do all the work with his neck and back, which the physio doesnt want him to do, so when you try to move his arms down, he screams and gives up
It is heartbreaking listening to him cry though, so I havent been making him do it, but I do keep trying when he is happy in the hope that one of these times he will just do it without crying at me :o He is doing all his other exercises perfectly !!

The only freaky thing about babies and eyes is when they sleep with their eyes open!

My sister ellie has always slept with her eyes half open and it F R E A K S me out. She stayed over the other night, and Keira wouldn't lie down beside her to sleep, as Ellie had already fell asleep and Keira was insisting she was still awake because of her eyes. Teehee.

Glad to hear Dylans hands are opening more MM

Krystal your milk bank sig makes me feel inadequate :( :rotfl: I've got milk envy! It's taken me 3 goes with the pump to get 90mls today (but I am oh so happy I have 90mls in a bottles in the fridge for when we go out tomorrow :j) Will go again after my bath.
If it makes you feel any better, it's taken a few weeks to build it up, and it's not going down because my baby will only take milk directly from the source... I'm just saving it for someone else now :p

Hope you get a full night's sleep Bruno!

Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

    Hello,

Is any mum around to offer some advice on painful breasts please, (never thought I'd write a post with that in the first line!)

I gave birth on Thursday 2 weeks early and my baby boy was quite lazy and didn't suck very much, when my MW saw him she he was jaundice and needed fluid urgently. Upon hearing this, as I was only producing tiny amounts of colostrum I switched to bottle formula, which is working out fine. This was yesterday and my breasts weren't even hard. But today they are and although not painful yet, I want to continue with bottle feeding, so how do I stop the milk coming without getting mastitus (sp) or something similar.
Any advice appreciated please. Not seeing MW again till Tues, and that is for a baby check up, although I know I can ask questions about me then?

Bear - I never BF, but I remember a few days after giving birth my boobs went rock solid and painful, looked like a bad boob job. Is that what it feels like? I never did anything, they just went back to normal when nothing was stimulating them to give milk.

I'm no boobie expert though :)

    CONGRATS BEAR :):)
If you are 100% certain that you no longer want to breast feed, then just leave them alone, even if they get sore, do not express, they will only hurt for a day or two at the most and you should dry up.
