  • Hi Feely - only a problem for me because it stopped me going out. But not enough of a problem for me to stop doing it iyswim. One of my friends weaned baby onto a bottle at about 7 months because she wanted to be able to go out in the evening and leave someone else in charge, which I wouldn't criticise her for doing, but isn't what I would choose to do. It is only a few more months in the grand scheme of things, and before I know it she will be waking me up in the middle of the night because she is coming in then :rotfl:.

I wanted to stop feeding her to sleep (or at least stop doing it all the time, so that she knows how to fall asleep without a boob) so that she can sleep when I'm not there. I'm glad I started doing that before she stopped wanting to feed, as it hasn't been as horrible as it would have been if I'd not started working on it already. She is getting frustrated when she wants to sleep but won't feed either, but it is getting easier. And hopefully she will feed again soon ~crosses fingers~.

I'm getting so little from pumping it's making me frustrated! 30mls is my usual (from both sides) and 50mls is a lot.

BM, if you get your one done I'll not lie tomorrow and say I'm still bleeding so I will get mine done at my 6 week check :D deal?
  • thanks em and 3

had a good night last night,,Taija slept for 4 and a bit hrs,,,,yayyy

    Happy 1st bithday Elliot xxxxxxxx
  • Please ladies, they are very important !! You dont want to end up doing what I have to. I get a colposcopy every 6 months until I get 2 clear results in a row, then can go back to smears, but I will always have mine annually.

Do they still do your smear if you are bleeding slightly? My periods still haven't stopped completely. I'm sure my mum told me that they don't do it if you have periods.....but that can't be right?!

I will go, I have a bit of pubic stubble but seriously can't be bothered to shave it (TMI!) I'm sure they have seen worse bushes. God I am sick, ignore me!

I never fed Keira to sleep when younger, the dummy and bouncing her to sleep is what we had to do, it was tiring. If you'd had a tiring day, or bad day, the last thin g you want to do is sit and bounce the baby for however long, or rock in your arms (did that too) until they nod off. Then you had to quietly move and place in the cot before making a quick exit. NOT FUN! For me anyways as she wouldn't settle at all with OH.
Probably because I could hold her properly so she was comfy, he was and is still all flippin' angles, bones sticking out everywhere, though I've padded him up a bit :)
  • Tia i was like that with my dd,,,i gave up in the end,,,
i havnt started to express yet as its only been a week,,im not sure what to do yet as it is so frustrating when you spend ages and get a little trickle,,,lol
maybe i should just get on with it,,,did you all express straight away,,or wait a bit???
Taija was being topped up with formula for a few days only taking about 30ml twice a day tho,,,
the bf is going well so i am not complaining
