I should also add that it is absolutely nothing like the routine method used on "Bringing up Baby". We were horrified by that and thought it was cruel.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

My mums friend had her boys in Japan, 40 odd years ago when her husband then was in the army. She was telling me that she was told to let them cry and not feed them during the night!!! They had a last feed about midnight and then left till 6-7am, in a different room so they didn't wake mum. Her youngest was born with problems (later made worse when he developed leukaemia and was given too much radiation) and after she gave birth, she was asked if she wanted them to 'deal with him'.
We had a good night, Amber got up at 5 for a quick feed (think she just wanted a cuddle tbh as she only fed for 10mins) then again at 7. Left her in her crib with daddy, first time I have left her rather than taking her with me to drop the boys off. I did wake him to tell him she was there. Wonder if I will come back to her screaming and him snoring? But DS2 was in and out all night for hugs, he's still a bit stuffy with the cold so I think that was waking him up.0 -
Tia, I regret saying our routine was quite rigid now!:rotfl: I meant 'by today's uk standards'. That story is awful :eek: your poor friend

Morning all.
Have dropped Izzy off at nursery for her first day (managed not to cry... saved that for when I got home) and have been sat here not achieving very much with the pump. I hope this electric one turns up this morning, might get on a bit better with it. Off to try by hand instead - at least I get some house white that way, even if it takes longer and uses both hands!

Alice has just produced a Bible and is shouting, "Jesus,Jesus, read
Jesus." Last time she produced it I read six chapters out loud and it was me who wanted to stop not her. (I love reading but I hate reading aloud.)Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5
