Glam, he is totally cute
Angela, I agree with the other 2, see if you can talk to your consultant or MW and they will be able to help you work through it. Or talk to all of us
Skinty, other than calpol and lots and lots of hugs, or a cool cloth on the forehead if there is a temperature, not sure what else you can do. It normally only lasts form a few hours to a couple of days and then she will be right as rain again

I think the problem lies in the fact the pregnancy was progresing okay but it was my body that let her down. I had to have the section due to something wrong with me, not with the pregnancy. What an emotional day its been x
It still wasn't your fault, one day you'll beleive me0 -
Krystal or others who BF - is your let down still really painful & strong even after a few months? Mine is and when it happens randomly when he's not feeding it's really sore. Is this right? I'm still struggling with thrush (nearly 6 weeks now) so don't know if it's connected
Pain on letdown was always my biggest symptom of thrush, in fact, apart from one random time it's the only time I've felt let down. Lots of probiotic stuff is what finally saw off our thrush!
I think (Krystal?) that 'painful' letdown can just be a symptom of fullness, I asked my big boobie that question a while ago as I had a random painful letdown that was a sharp pain (unlike my thrush pain which was more a pushing pain) and two others said they had the same thing sometimes and she explained why and I'm sure it was something to do with fullness, gaaahhhh Krystal help, I made a right hash of that one!Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
lol I know the sling lady thing very well indeed, what kind do you have btw, I'm nosey :-)
Typing while feeding is an excellent skill to master, Celia lies on pillows (when she starts she's in it for the long haul my arms couldn't cope!) and my laptop is next to me!
I use a KAri Me. I do have a ring sling as well (SLingEasy) but it was a gift and I don;t like it that much.
I'm having an issue right now with the sling giving me blocked ducts in my right boob if I wear it for over 4 hours - now Lilia is heavier it's obviously pressing somewhere but I can;t work out where and it's so annoying! I can clear it within a few feeds but I do fear mastitis if I can;t one day.
I can;t work out how to BF while wearing her though - just can;t see how I'd get her in the right position.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Fritha - I'm really hoping it's just the sling you swap, not the milking her up :rotfl::rotfl:
Celia record feed once was 11 hours straight, trust me if I could have made him lactate I would have done! That made me pmsl btw :rotfl:Comping, freebieing and trying to pay the mortgage off early!0 -
Skinty, I usually dim the lights, stick on baby tv (a dreamy journey is on through the night with soothing music and pretty colours), dose them with paracetamol, get some soft blankets and cuddle up for a long night when of mine are feeling poorly, regardless of age.0

ETA... Fritha, you're theory could work in that you have a more prolific supply in the early days and are often quite fuller at each feed, as supply evens out to what baby needs, you're less full at the start of the feed and at random points in between...

Oh tigs, I meant to ask you earlier.. Have you seen anymore of the tv crew or did they stop filming and coming to see you after you found out Andrew would be coming sooner rather than later?
Stop filming? Heck, they wanted to film my section - and got told a very firm No :rotfl:
They came back about 4 days after the birth (on my invitation), filmed me & Marley talking about how it had gone and how we felt now, took some footage of Andrew in SCBU, and the NeoNatal Consultant offered to talk to them on camera about the problems with very premature babies. We then had to stop filming rather abruptly as my section wound decided to flood the floor of SCBU
They're holding back at the moment (the presenter had her daughter just over a week ago), but I will see if they want to do a final filming session shortly, now that life has settled down.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls
