  • Can't wait till it gets a bit cooler, then I should be able to go out more. I can't walk far in this heat, I get really embarrased about sweating.

Thanks for the replies about sids :)

I've got some good news, about an hour ago I was stood hugging my husband-we both looked down at Elliot who was standing by his toy box, he then let go and took 3 steps all by himself!! :D

*proud mom moment* lets hope he does it again!!

Ohh Keely congratulations, it is just so great seeing them master these things! I think Elliot is the same age as Elijah's first stroll within a day or two at most! Their satisfaction and pride when they manage funny little things is just adorable.
I tangled up Elijah in his little poncho towel today after his bath... after a good twenty seconds of wriggles and contortions he got free of it and leapt to his feet, arms outstretched above his head, butt nekkid :) the very image of triumph!

OH is home. Came home to a clean and tidy kitchen, clean clothes laid out for him and me just putting tea on - get me, the domestic goddess (hardly!)

I am proud but find it hard to explain. I hadnt told anyone how i felt tll the other day, when i told my mum that i felt as tho i hadnt been able to keep her safe and i blamed myself. She said so that should mean i'd take the credit for the fact she'd done so well since. She just couldnt understand, but explaining it on here, i think all of you who have been in that situation have explained it exactly as i felt x

DS2 is 4 now and honestly, it does get better. Just don't bottle it up, any outlet you can find that you feel comfortable with, use it. I look back now and I can say and fully beleive that what happened was not my fault. Sometimes pregnancy and birth doesn't go right and I was just one of those unlucky few who had a complication through no fault of my own. The first year was hard, everyone I knew told me to forget about it and be grateful we were both here and I felt so bad that I couldn't. I now know that I was having a completely normal and natural reaction to a traumatic event, had I been in a car crash people would have been more supportive but pregnancy is seen as natural so people don't understand how you can be traumatised by it and women are under pressure to keep the bad feelings to themselves.

Something bad happened to you and to your baby and it's ok to feel upset by it. If you ever want to talk, PM me, I had a mini breakdown when DS2 was a year old, my marriage broke down and I didn't see how it could ever get better, but with some counselling for post tramatic stress and some understanding it did get better. I do still have bad days and the pregnacy with Amber was emotionally hard, but in a way having her has helped.
Can't wait till it gets a bit cooler, then I should be able to go out more. I can't walk far in this heat, I get really embarrased about sweating.

Do you find you sweat more because of breast feeding? I seem to sweat a lot and it really smells.
