  • Did you ever post your birth story Angela?

I gave a very watered down account of what happened. I know she is fine and thriving now but it still upset me to think about it. Probably like most people who's baby is born not exactly as they had hoped for, I aslo blame myself a little for not being able to keep her safe till she was due.

Morning Ladies! I hope you all have a fine Monday :)

Andrew was weighed last night, and has managed to put on three ounces in four days - so he's finally broken through my psychological barrier to reach 2lb 1oz :j :j :j :j

Yay!!! Well done Andrew, does he need some *pudgy vibes* ? :D

Angela, let your hubby know that it gets easier as they get older, you do eventually stop worrying and remembering and playing the 'what if' game. You too. (((hugs)))

A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

You can be offered an abortion late on. I think I was about 32-33 weeks when I was offered one.

When I had the complications and extra scans with Charlotte, the scan in Durham hospital showed a shadow on her brain which may have been brain damage. The consultant asked if we wanted to continue the pregnancy and I looked horrified and said yes. He could tell he felt really crap asking, but he said he had to ask as some people would have decided to terminate in case the baby was mentally disabled.

I got sent for a special brain scan at a hospital with a better scanner, but she'd dropped into my pelvis by then so they could get a decent scan of her brain. She had another brain scan when she was two weeks old and nothing was found, and she's been fine since.
Here I go again on my own....

:eek:it makes me feel sick that someone different might have aborted.
Charlotte is fabulous and still would be if there were some damage I'm sure.

I hated that when I found out I was pregnant with Chris I didn't know what you did so made a doc's app and the first thing she said when I told her I'd got a BFP was "Do you want to continue the pregnancy?" I was quite offended by it at the time. (but I understand why she said it)
