bruno looks like i have a very high chance of being told to sod off so better leave it ................. :(:(:(:(:(:( x

No! Probably not better to leave it! Asking costs almost nothing (a credit check - which slightly weakens your rating temporarily - a non-issue if you aren't trying to buy a house or something at the moment). Asking over and over from loads of places might be an issue, so don't do that - identify one or two potential cards which would be significantly better than your current and ask for advice on the card forums as to whether you can get 'em without high income/etc. If people say you can, go for it!

Honestly, I've got my :money: hat on. The investigating costs you nothing bar reading the net and posting on forums (something which you're good at :p). The requesting costs you virtually nothing. The return might be £160 you've guessed, that's "free money". Do it! :)

Tara's link was specifically for the Barclaycard thing, right? There are others out there, and criteria do vary even though I know it says it's a good rough guide! But to repeat, the key thing is trying costs nothing but a bit of your time.

I now return you to your usual viewing. Feel MORE than free to ignore me, I have no special expertise or qualifications in this area :p

Waiting for the Dean to get in touch, won't take much planning though. Not much more than the average christening, just a little more effort with my dress! ;)

I take it you have told your OH now then.. ;)
    How's Rhys?

He's dandy ta. Sleeping on Daddy right now - we're all having a very sleepy day here. I'm hoping it's not going to lead to a very awake night but we shall see..

How's Maddy? Did you come to a definite answer on if she had the lactose-thingy? :o

OK, I am doing too much cooking. OH doesn't know how the oven works...

I put the shoulder in prepped/etc to slow roast, then I took Elijah out to a kid's play area for an hour or two this afternoon, as OH isn't feeling well. She had one job to do in my absence, which was to turn the top oven on and put the fully prepped potatoes and sweet potatoes roasting tray into that oven at a certain time...

She did it, but she only turned the temperature dial, not the "function as an oven or as a grill" dial, so it didn't come on. So I just went to serve up and there is this full tray of oily raw potatoes :( I am sad. And hungry.

Turned the slow-roast oven down to 120, roasting the others now, should be ok eventually I expect!

What did people think was a good rate for granny having fergie per day? I was thinking £30. Too much? Too little?

    Would appreciate any suggestions :)

Anyone recommend a good chew toy for DS2??? This boy has an obsession with chewing things and having things in his mouth!!! He has gotten shocks from chewing DS chargers (we have went through 5 so far). His tops have holes in the sleeves and neck and along the bottom, lost count of the amount of toys he has chewed, he chewed the old sofa, a table, his bed, xbox controllers, remote controls, a lamp shade, the curtain, two of my shoes (different shoes) and he always has a nibble on his own boots. Worse than a dog. The dog only had a chew at the kitchen door and one pair of my shoes.
  • Weezl - will she be following your complete rules on eating, sleeping, routine, outings? Or will it be more 'fun nanny time'?

Tia it sounds like he loves lots of different textures and firmnesses. I guess any toy that had firm plasticky bits, smooth gel-filled bits, fabric squishy bits etc, all in the one toy might be a winner?

As to where you get one?

    Sorry I'm no good :rotfl:

Sorry Weezl, I had a reply in my head about granny rates!

Firstly, will she accept money?? If not is there any little treats she would enjoy? Like manicures, pedicures etc? You could get her a voucher.

Personally I think £30 is too much, after all she is getting to spend time with her grandchild, I'd probably go more in the region of £20.

    Hi Weezl,

Honestly I don't think we'd consider money. Instead we'd be trying to make it as comfortable/treat-like as possible for granny, so laying in her nice food/drink or whatever each day, maybe giving her boxes of chocolates or similar.

If money is definitely your preference then (dependent on granny's travel costs?) £30 sounds fine, generous.
