Expressing with the pump today is much quicker than it was last time. I'm guessing that is just due to me being engorged to the point of pain :(

Will keep going for as long as I need to then call DH to tell him he is coming home from the pub. I'm nackered and need a nap if I'm going to be up all night again!

  • Teething can be a reason a baby won't go to the breast but if she's not very well then it could be that too... Maybe she has a bit of a headache or earache and lying down to feed is uncomfortable... It's all a guessing game really until they're big enough to tell us what's wrong... Have you tried different positions etc?

Kellymom has some good information on nursing strikes...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Quick question, if I ate something that gave a taste to my milk, how long would it take for the taste to affect my milk??

Amber refused the breast so I expressed and when she woke up, gave her what I had expressed. She refused it and went as far as to make faces and retch! I ended up mixing it with formula and she took it but with a look that said she knew it wasn't right.

It could either have been the almost whole raw onion I had with dinner last night (fajitas) about 7pm or the smoothy an hour before I fed her. Whatever it was she did not like it!

    Evening All

    I hope everyone is well:)

I've not really had a chance to get on lately and probably won't come on much at all from now onwards.

Kai has been a bit under the weather, so has been extremely miserable and really hard work especially as he hasn't been sleeping barely at all (day or night) and just crying a lot.... On top of that I have so much organising to do and sorting out finances for uni. We have also just bought a car, but as money is so tight at the moment we bought a cheap one that needed work doing to it, nearly done with it now and will have a £2500 car for £1600, so quite a good saving:)

Just want to thank everyone who I have chatted to both from the pregnancy thread and on here and I 'will try' to pop in on the odd occasion to check up on how things are going with everyone, but not sure if I will actually manage to.

Good luck for the future everyone, love and best wishes to all:)

Ohh mel, I will miss you :o:D

I really hope you will drop in and let us know how you are, but please don't feel a pressure to read everything :)

Lots and lots of love and luck to you too. Really hope Kai's sleeping sorts itself soon too.

    Weezl x
