Morning chums,
off to the hospital today with DD ,hope they sort out my arm as its becoming a bit of a nuisance. I am really pleased with myself as I'm doing well on my GC this month.
I have my sis-in-law coming on Friday for a couple of days and just remembered that I have a chicken in the freezer so I will get in out tomorrow and cook it in the SC on Friday then we can have it either with salad or as a roast on Friday night and use some for sandwiches on Saturday as we are going to the Penshurst Place craft fair for the day.lots of freebies there which is good .Only really have fresh fruit and veg to buy this week, plus some milk .Hope everyone has a good day ,forcast os showers here in North Kent but its still quite warm
Take care everyone

Good morning everyone. :hello:
The sun has come out today! Makes a change from the last two miserable days. I'm debating whether I should go to the allotment today but I really shpould finish painting the front door. It is at that hideous stage where there are patches of primer and sealer and white bits all over it and looks hideous. I want to get two coats of black gloss on it before the weekend so if I do one today and one tomorrow...? Hate painting. It goes for my back, don't know why.
Hubby left at the crack of dawn for his conference. Won't see him till Friday now.
I need to tidy the utility room. I left the camping gear out after last trip but it's looking pretty obvious that we won't get another weekend in before it gets too cold to go.
And I have to go and take a photo of one of our local landmarks for a school project DD is doing. No hardship this...nice day for a short walk!
I've got plenty baking and bread in the tins so don't need to do that today (Wednesday is a baking day) especially with Hubby being away. The laundry is within a load of being up to date so don't need to bother with that till tomorrow. I think I might give myself a day off cooking and go freezer-diving instead. I don't need much shopping so that can wait till the kids go to swimming club tonight...it's a good time to go for whoopsies anyway.
Must start doing something with the apples from the tree!Val.0 -
Haribo a stalker :eek:mind you I could easily be your stalker, I love hearing about your garden & where you live and especially happy when you post photo's
however I am not your stalker...honest & hope they go away asap.
Forgot to mention earlier that OH's friend has taken down a very large tree in their garden & asked OH to take it away in one of the lorries so in a couple of years when they are seasoned we will have free logs for our open fire. OH is looking forward to doing the manly thing & chopping up the logs :rotfl:
In office now, 1 load of washing on the line, 1 in the machine and have turned the ends of bread into breadcrumbs for the freezer. Kitchen workstops wiped down so will get some paperwork done now then s&s bathrooms and get on with the ironing.
Have a good one.x
Back again - saw on Market Kitchen this week a chef make clotted cream so must check out the website later for the recipe and think will give that a try soon.0 -
Morning all.
Enjoy your sailing n9eave
Some people have very empty lives HJ. Hopefully they will get fed up an leave you alone.
Good luck at the hospital PP and JackieO.
I was supposed to be having someone come and do some jobs for me today. It's been a nightmare trying to get him to set a date and stick to it, and tbh I figured he would cancel, which he did this morning  he did say he could maybe juggle things around and come back to me in a few weeks, but if that's how he runs a business, it's not very professional. Obviously the credit crunch isn't affecting him  So now I need to look at arranging quotes elsewhere.
I have the cleaner in today for 4 hours, so the house will be sparkly clean afterwards. The WM is on and once the bedding is changed it will be non stop items in and out. Hopefully I can get a fair bit dry as the weather doesn't look too bad.
DDs are having a rack of ribs tonight. Not sure what I'm going to do with it, nor what I fancy. Probably something quick and easy, out the freezer.
Enjoy your day all.

Hi all. I'm just taking a break from the kitchen. I've been using up the lovely big tomatoes my neighbour gave me yesterday and now have two big containers of tomato soup (with onions, garlic and herbs), three containers of tomatoes to add to bolognaise, and, still in the oven, loads of tomato halves being slowly roasted. It seems to have taken ages, what with skinning and chopping them, and I've only done half the clearing up, but the whole house smells really delicious and my morning so far has been very OS.
Dinner tonight is spaghetti bolognaise, using my new tomatoes.

Morning all,
Did the house out this morning. It was a nice day for it as it was a tad cooler. We've got a glut of zucchini atm so made a quiche tonight and making a cake with some tomorrow. Caught up with the ironing this arv while watching a show on Nelson. Very interesting it was. I never knew he had an affair & a child from it. The things you just learn. They never mentioned it in history classes at school.
Did some work in the yard this arv. Accidently pulled up a pumpkin vine but I think I've covered my tracks fairly well.
Haribo
helg I hope you find the cause of DS problems at school. Very worrying time for you all.
Well off to shower & do some reading. <hugs> to those not well etc. Hope everyone has a lovely day whatever you do. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
