If anyone is still waiting to go and see The Blind Side then I'd say you're in for a treat :) absolutely cracking movie. I had read the synopsis or watched too much of the trailer as i wanted the movie to be a surprise and i was very impressed with what i was. really good story with some nice twists to it. would defs recommend it!! thanks for the free movie sky :-D

Thanks for the info - looking forward to seeing it tonight now. Surprised no-one reported back on Alice in 3D -unfortunately I didn't get free tickets so was wondering if it is worth actually paying!!! to see it. Realise that I can't use Nectar points as its 3D but can you use Orange 241 offer?

I'd check with the cinema in question but i've used 2-4-1 at Odeon IMAX and normal 3D screenings and never had a problem. I didnt realise you can get nectar points, which cinema is that with? or do you mean exchanging them for viewings?

Not worth seeing. It's a poor poor movie where storyline is concerned. Originality is nowhere to be seen, compared to Tim Burton's usual films, and the whole thing is extremely cliche in the bad way.

It's an absolutely gorgeous movie though. Very beautiful.

    Still not worth seeing though.

The Blind Side wasn't quite as patronising as I was expecting and Sandy Buttock was good but definitely not Oscar worthy, although she's probably gonna walk off with the little fella on Sunday.

Certainly a film to make white christian middle-class America feel better about itself.

So anyway, a good film but at bit too much 'TV movie of the week' to be great.

I was wondering if this was made to appease a certain audience...thanks for info.
  • I thought it was a great film, gave a warm fuzzy feeling and far from making white christian middle class America feel better about itself shows them up to be pompous and selfish beings. I even learned a bit about american football! Well worth going and quite funny in places as well as heart wrenching. Look out for SJ very good little actor.

As for Alice in Wonderland I thought it was visually stunning, the storyline is well known but there were twists. I enjoyed the film and thought the acting was quality and if you like Tim Burton you will too enjoy up to his usual oddness.
