How often do they ID at these screenings? I've been to two, and my friend one and have never been asked for ID at the door. I'm always cool with it, but my wallet got robbed from me a couple of weeks ago, so now all I have are my credit/debit cards! It's quite a commute to get there tonight, so it'll be pretty rough if i'm turned away! :/

I've never been asked but i know people who have. If it's a commute i would ring the cinema in advance?

So people can see that I have canceled a pair of tickets for tonight.

    That ok with you? :)

    An all but pointless exercise.

Especially since 24 hours elapsed from the 1st post to the "bump"

Anyone subscribed to the thread would have known about your 1st post without the need for the 2nd irrespective of when they looked.
Even those that aren't, but know about it, regularly look without the need to be reminded nor the need for a "bump" since they know where it is at all times due to having it bookmarked as a favourite.

Furthermore in the 24 hours between the 2 posts hundreds if not thousands of people will have visited Sky trying to obtain tickets for this screening. A few maybe as a result of your "cancellation" post, but many more because of the actual FREE CODES thread on MSE containing the original posting for these tickets, and the fact that the same information is on FMUK, BargainSpy, HotDealsUK and indeed Sky's own website. :)

Probably taken within an hour and most likely by someone that didn't see your 1st post.

My daughter wants to go to a TELL TEN film and take a friend for an over 15 film but they are only 15. Is it possible to e-mail Tell ten and ask them to change the name on the ticket to my daughters?

I went for my first free advance showing last week at an empire cinema and everyone was being asked for ID.

    Back from Kick !!!.
I will be interested to hear other peoples views on it.
Our screening was about 90% full, which was nice to see, but sound was a bit hey-wire. Or was it supposed to be that way ??
Best thing about it was Hit Girl..... loved the wig. Chloe Moretz was excellent. I think we will be seeing an lot more of her.
Violent 'dumb and dumber' version of Spy Kids ??
Just realised one of the writers is THE Jane Goldman -wife of Jonathan Ross.
That probably should explain something, but I'm not sure what.
6 out of 10 from The Old Bag viewers.
A few laughs, lots of cringes, lots of "What the hecks..", but at least we were out of the rain.

p.s I have NEVER been asked for ID ever....... but there is always a first time ;)

I only ever use a debit/credit card for id at these screenings:D

Kick A$$ was absolutely awesome! Cast looked good and the trailer was amusing but it was still miles better than we were expecting. If you like films like Superbad, you're in for a treat.
Loads of Action, loads of violence, Nicholas Cage as a super hero, and a 12 year old girl saying the 'c' word! Brilliant!
    9.5/10

Plymouth Vue was pretty full and around 50 people decided to turn up at about half six and were promptly turned away because of no room. Still an annyoing few decided not to take the employees word for it and had a wander around the cinema while the trailers were on. Seriously!

ID was requested when showing the tickets and also by security at the door (girl behind was using the "I left my purse and home" excuse and was turned away).
Also noticed a large amount of 'older' people at this screening compared to usual. Can't imagine this film was some of their cups of tea (apologies for stereotyping), but this film went down very well with the Janners.

Cardiff was fully booked, about 8 or so people were told to leave because they couldn't sit on the floor due to Health and Safety reasons.

It was a bit odd that they showed the movie in quite a small room, demand for this film was bigger than any other film I've been too.

I was at the screening in Cardiff, and it was so awkward when those people were asked to leave. But come on, they were sat on the steps and by the fire exit! I didn't feel too bad until their friends came in with popcorn and snacks  But bless that one man for getting up and offering his seat, he deserved an applause when he came back in.
But you have to be stupid to turn up late when it clearly states no entry after 6.30. For a movie this anticipated (and mainly appealing to guys) you need to be at least 30 minutes early for a guaranteed good seat...we came at 6.15 and were at the front
Also I loved the heavies (doormen), really nice blokes, but definitely looked out of place in a cinema. The swish suits were a bit OTT :D

As for the movie - brilliant. Didn't really enjoy the romance or the 'Kick-!!!'/Dave scenes too much but any doubts I had were forgotten about during the last quarter. The final two fight scenes were up their with The Matrix lobby shootout IMO. And I loved Hitgirls 'self suicide' moves...awesome! :D
