I registered with SeeFilmFirst and Tellten , and thanks to this forum, I have been to see several films.

But If it wasn't for this forum, I'd never know the codes, so was wondering where I should be checking for the codes.

I've never had an email from SFF with a code or anything in it, so any advice, or details of where to watch for the codes would be appreciated.

TBH this is the best place to find codes.

Generally Codes are provided by magazines and websites as free screening offers for their readers (Heat and Total Film being 2 regular screening providers) and in some of these cases you will get the codes either in the magazine or on a newsletter.

Other companies like sky offer a screening a month and some are just film distributors trying to get a name out there.

Don't rely on on SFF or Tellten to email you as i have been a member for 3 years and only received 1 invite.

If you want to feel a bit better about using the free screenings then always do the Questionnaires and feedback after screenings (the whole reason for providing free screenings is to get feedback and spread the word) and maybe subscribe to some of the newsletters like Totalfilm and Heat.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. Guys please stop arguing. Its not fun. Its not helpful. and nobody wins.

I went to the one in Manchester. There was a red carpet and 2 actors from the film turned up. Aaron Johnson who plays Kick-!!! and Christopher Mintz-Plasse, who plays Red Mist (better known as McLovin from 'Super Bad'). They introduced the film and did a short Q&A!

Let us know what yours is like when you're back from it!

Flippin' heck! I was kind of expecting something similar, but it was basically just like a normal screening except the whole middle section was reserved for "press" i.e. journalists etc who also got a free lunch beforehand. Any normal people had to sit in the side areas, and wait until all the journos turned up at 1.15pm, when it was supposed to start at 1pm...ah well it was a free film & a great film so I'm not complaining!
Manchester one sounded well better though :D

Oh Man I wish i was in Manchester what a result!

Went to see Whip it last night good film personally felt it should have been a 15 rather than a 12A, after reading online I thought it would be an ok film for my ten year old and it was ok but only because a lot of the jokes went over her head thankfully!

Still great freebie and teamed with some vouchers I had gotten for a previous complaint got a very nice meal afterwards too :D

  • I went to see Whip It last night and really enjoyed the film - it was only about half full and started 30 minutes late. :)

I thought as a first attempt of direction D Barrymore did it really well, now the script is nothing special but it was worth it to watch it for her work.
    I, too enjoyed it.
