BTD i would cancel the DD and then contact them straight away to say you cancelled by accident pay over the phone when the wages have gone in and set up a new dd no charges :j
a little bit of hassle but less money to pay the bank i hate charges and interest and a potential £25 to pay of debt if your not paying the bank

I think Herewego's idea is excellent - a little white lie never hurt anyone - well not an evil bank anyway

    Been busy debt-busting ;)

Hope the diet's going ok. I succumbed to homemade buns, but did go for a power walk into town - so that negated the extra cals. Psyching myself up for a 7 mile run in the morning

    Hope you're having a good weekend x
  • Happy Easter to you, too, BTD! Must be nearly time for a glass of wine? Enjoy it, you deserve it after your panicky moment over the DD and then finding a way round it. I'll take my hat off to you if you can keep out of shops until May, I know my limits and I couldn't do that! Mind you, am getting to be so careful that I am finding it harder and harder to part with my money......

    Take care

    Hiya,

That is exactly the problem which got me into this mess in the first place!! Well, that and my ridiculous spending - but I'll ignore that and blame it all on the banks!!

I would be 2 or 3 pounds short of my direct debit amount and it would get bounced, then I would get charged 30.00 by the bank and 30.00 from the company (If it were mortgage or CC) and still have to pay the bill, which could have been only 10.00!!!

Aaaaaaaarrrrrgggggggghhhhhh  It makes me so cross that there's people really trying to get on top of things and the banks just try and make things difficult for everyone!!!

    Sorry, rant over!!

    Cuckoo. xx

Never a truer work said........ I looked the otherday and my od = the charges I've had..........
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
