I always find it a struggle in Jan. I think it's partly because I'm paid early in December and it seem an age until the Jan pay day!

I know - you have to plot and plan very carefully!

    Xmas Saver!
Your doing well, look at the £40 close to OD limit as a positive, all the bills have been paid, you've got through New Year and Christmas, and yes ur in OD but you haven't gone over it. So fingers crossed, you should still have the £40 gap, so this month, plan ur spending as if the £40 wasn't there (say you had 1k od, now £960). Then carry the £960 as the ODfigure. xx

I'm not looking forward to the fuel bills heading our way! We've decided that with my dodgy health if it's cold the heating gets topped up.

How are you going on that £40?

We've left our heating on all day and night as it is more likely to freeze and burst if it gets turned off overnight. Makes getting up in a morning easier too! Hopefully it won't have too much impact over the year (we pay by DD).

We're doing the same- keeping thermostat quite low and then using a couple of heater units on thermostat to keep the living room or bedroom at a reasonable temperature depending on where we are.
Our new heated blanket is making a big difference too!

Our heating is on low 24/7 think its better than blasting it up high for short spells! Living room toasty and bedrooms kitchen bit cold but obviously when cooking warms up!
Keep warm enjoy any snow days you may be having.
