Hi granny and dfsd I hope 2014 is great for you both. We had a fantastic time at a family party last night. We all got dressed up to the nines as if we were going to a posh hotel!!! We sang danced told jokes and had a fab time. Back to work tom and I have bought all the stuff I need for packed lunch so money saving and diet friendly. I was thinking about joining a slimming class but the truth is I do well on my own I just need to keep it off and a bout of depression this year didn't help that and I am sure now that I have given up drink it will be all the easier! I really can't justify paying £5 per week some people need the support i seem better doing it on my own as i think if there are no set rules then the can't be broken and if not broken i have not failed and if i haven't failed i will carry on?.
Well it makes sense to me anyway!
I had a great deal on a black dress yest it was a catalogue bargain shop. It was £85 in cat reduced for store to £45 then reduced to £18 then 50% off at till so £9!! And it was made for me i couldn't believe my luck. I wasn't going to buy anything new but a black dress is a must for all women right? And WHEN i lose weight it will still look good as it's jersey material!
Having a lazy day and then when back to normal we have the project of doing my son's bedroom and for his b day in March he wants a flat screen tv on his wall and luckily in laws said they will go halves! We are very lucky :)
Enjoy your new years day all and don't make unrealistic goals keep them small and achievable :)

A belated Happy New Year BTD - here's to a fab 2014

Your dress bargain sounds amazing and a little black number can be worn time and time again. A good buy I would say too.

Your dieting strategy is sound, any challenge is about what works for you and is more achievable that way. Sometimes it'll fit a set one, sometimes not and fear of failure is something I really struggle with, so I set myself small goals that are achievable too and that is more positive and encouraging. :)

1 thing on eBay a week has got to be a first goal for me - I am not good at doing it and need to get better! :D
    Back on the DFW Wagon:

    CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
    CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
    Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/18

Hi i'm back. Still on the money saving /debt repaying scenic route. Been really lucky as I had a gift of money from my parents and used it all on home improvements and a holiday and I don't feel bad I didn't pay more off debts, they are going the right way DOWN!!
Still meal planning ebaying and being savvy :). Christmas savings up to £200 and started buying fillers and gifts. We have a holiday booked in July all paid and clothes spending sorted. I am saving for next years holiday now. My ds is 11 now and family time is so valuable so I aim to have holidays away. I know you don't need to but it's important to me to have this quality family time making memories. We also do lot's of this at home also not spending money :).
Next Aug a loan I paid off freeing up £175 pm and my defaults drop off. I had my lbm in 2009 and I can't believe it's 2015. The habits I have are ingrained into me now and come second nature. I get really cross if I miss a deal or forget a coupon! So my goal is now to save for next years holiday and continue saving for Christmas.
    Thanks for reading

    Hi money :).
Football tournament today all packed lunch done and drinks packed. It is second nature now to pack food and drink on every trip now even walks to avoid paying stupid money for a drink and succumb to the burger vans :). See you all later and have a great day x

Hi all :). Ok money saving things I have done in the last week.
    Used food up in freezer.
Took sweets and drinks to cinema.
Went to local cinema and not expensive chain cinema saved at least £15 same film it had an end and all :) lol.
    Managed to dry washing outdoors.
Needed t shirts so I ordered one from G3orge at a3da and used code I had for £2 off.
    Things to do this week.
Take school polo shirts back to a3da as I bought some late in year and it's pointless using now.
    Not so good....
I bought a pair of Michael Kors sunglasses but they were £49.99 from Groupon. The plan is when I get my birthday money I will just put it in bank I wear sunglasses very often even in winter as I hate squinting. No crows feet yet:).
I haven't been to my slimming club for a few weeks though due to illness and being away so I have saved £15.00 so I can offset that against them.
Few things on ebay I have a few watchers on.
3 envelopes in cash tin one for OCT 2015 half term one for May 2016 half term and one for summer holiday 2016 I am saving £20 per week in them £5 to the other two and one for the Oct as that's this year. So hopefully by the time they arrive we will have our spending money in cash :).
I think that's it for now.
    Thanks for reading.
