Busy day I have secured a nice little washing up gig at a friends pub a free lunch and a few pennies all taxed and stamped Mr tax man:) . I am pretending a don't have it and I am saving fort summer hols. One thing I am good at is planning and forward thinking.
Made my own Christmas cake and although very satisfying I can see why people buy them it cost a fortune lol0 -
Aha, I've found you and caught up on your diary, after your lovely comment on mine and will subscribe if I may.
I do love your 'stuff on shelves is money', that's really motivated me as I struggle with the excuse of time and fiddly-ness (is there such a word? :rotfl:) with eBay and such like. I have got 2 old phones out today and their boxes for envirofone and I will get them sent off and make some pennies.
In a similar boat with helping out ageing parent, it's not easy to juggle everything and looking after yourself is definitely a priority.
A nice little extra with the pub job too. You're doing so well and remain so upbeat. :TBack on the DFW Wagon:

Finished all my food shop for Christmas now except veg!
No matter how organised you are you still have to go out close to the day eh??
Not sending cards I can't ear them they are such a waste of money and end up in recycling!! Bah !!.
Out tonight in my Christmas jumper for a girls night! Cheap night as no charge for meal lift home so just a few drinks!
See you all later BTD!!0 -
Oh well another Christmas over (nearly) and I am glad to say all bought and paid for. Now to get our heads down and save for a holiday. Did our weekly shop today £70 all meal plans done. Dh gets paid next 10th Jan as he had 3 weeks pay but tI put extra in different account to transfer on normal pay date.
Mexican for tea tonight yum.
Goals for next year. I gave up drinking 3 weeks ago (great time of year right?)I will continue this and save around £50 pm, straight towards the hol.

Happy New Year to you.. well done on quitting drinking! I don't drink at all, very rarely if I do, maybe once or twice a year (how boring I know), but don't feel I miss out on it.
