Hi all! I just been on noodle and checked my credit report all is as I thought. I am still chipping away and about 3 years away form some sort of debt freedom not total debt freedom. Still ebaying car booting, meal planning. Thrifty shopping. And it really does help. Making inroads to my debt and proud.0

Hi not read all your diary but looked back to the beginning and just wanted to say I think you are brilliant chipping away to get to your goal.
Just wondered how you manage to maintain the enthusiasm for it. I've only just started out really and in the main quite positive however I do think what will I be like in a year or two, can I really stick with it??
So just wondered how you get through the dark days??
Thanks A

Hi eyes wide open. I guess I am a positive person anyway but it really does become second nature.
I always think you should run your home like a business. My cupboards are never bursting as it's money on shelves.I meal plan every week and but what we need no waste and fresh food each week.
I treat ebay like a hobby and when you list something like a pound pack it and post it you realise how much work goes into making that pound so you become reluctant to waste it.:p
I Christmas shop all year around and buy out of season so I buy winter clothes in summer and vice versa. I have to keep going so I just had well smile in the process.:D
I think I have learnt to appreciate each treat now also. Thanks for taking the time to read xx0 -
Good day today . Did something I have never done before. I asked a family member for petrol when I take them shopping. Listed a pile of unwanted gifts on ebay. Took my own lunch to work. It all adds up or takes off as it were!0

Hi eyes wide open I have read all your diary. Little tip for you, if you have to take biscuits again and are worried about brand put a doiley on a plate or nice cake plate and arrange and cover with cling film. They will just think you are posh. I am addicted to diet coke also. I get mine in home bargains 48 cans for £13.00 xx0

Like the biscuit idea. I was the same if I'm honest but now can't tell the difference between a mcvities or a value ginger nut - except the packet oh and the price.
Diet coke - trying to wean myself off. If I buy 48 cans I know I will drink more so shall just buy an odd can/bottle and only if its on special. Have been buying some cheap dilute black currant and diluting it with 17p a bottle sparkling water. Not the same as diet coke but passable when I want a pop hit.
