I had a back to back one for my second...the midwives sent me home with instructions to spend twenty minutes of every hour crawling around on the carpet, or at least kneeling on all fours and rocking through the contractions. It takes the pressure off the back and gives the baby more room to rotate, apparently. He did turn eventually and I had him in the all fours position, come to think of it. (This is the one who is 13 today, actually!) So it might be worth a try for her?
Good luck to her anyway....!
Thanks for advice will text her now as far as I know she is still at home and in pain xxFrugal challenge 2025

Hi all.
Happy Birthday mioliere and Valkscot's DS.
Was MIA all last week - couldn't justify posting as no OS was happening. Had a nasty Lupus flare and couldn't do a flippin' thing. Still not right, but trying to get basics done.
Got a chap coming tomorrow to fit video camera at the front door, this'll mean I can see who's there before I struggle to get to the door to answer it, and if it's a time-waster/nuisance caller I don't have to answer iyswim. We've had to empty the big bookcase in the corner, as the chap will need to run a wire behind it, so Mr LW took the opportunity to pull it all out and cleaned behind it. He was going to use the anti-bacterial stuff I keep for when the work surface in the kitchen is mega-manky, so I whipped that off him and gave him the Stardrops instead:p He'll learn, eventually. The amount of dust and cobwebs behind there was amazing. I don't think it's been moved in seven years.:embarasse
Made some mushroom soup for lunch yesterday - there's enough for tonight's dins as well, if I get on and make a loaf so that we can have some bread with it. That'll be about my limit today I think.
Prob won't get online tomorrow; what with blokey coming to do the video thing in the morning, and I have a hospital appointment in the afternoon. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
:)Pioneer Woman -no not me, a fantastic cooking (and other things) site from the US. Full of gloriously unhealthy family friendly food.
I've decided to make these potatoes to go with my Swedish meatballs tonight.
I shall definitely be making the Bacon Onion Cheddar Biscuits for my kids' packed lunches asap. I shall be substituting butter for shortening;)
And I'm dying to try the Dump Cake if only I could find the right kind of cake mix:eek: I've never bought cake mix before, but I just love the look of this recipe and I love the way she writes about it.0 -

Been trying to get on here all morning to tell you my exciting news DD1 has gone into labour she has been having contractions since 3.30am has been in to see midwife but she has sent her home for a few hours as not dilated yet baby is back to back so she is in quite of alot of pain but dont like to tell her she has much worse ahead! hopefully he will put in an appearance soon.
My first was back to back, it can be very painful but I would second valk-scot's advice about getting down on all fours. The hospital I was in insisted on keeping me hooked up to the monitor on the bed which really didn't help! It can be a very long labour though, make sure someone is looking after her x0 -

HI, DS2 started school today, he was a little unsure going in but seems to have had a nice time. I went and had a coffee with a friend, then popped into Boots - they have some of their toys reduced. I also went to find some more school trousers as the ones I had bought for him were 2" too long!
I had a lovely day yesterday, I went with some friends to a quilt show in Harrogate. It was the first time I had been without a child since the beginning of June. It wasn't very moneysaving as I bought books and fabric!
Dinner tonight is left over chicken, probably as a pie. I'll probably also bake a cake whilst I';ve got the oven on!0 -

Have an essay due in by Thursday and not even started it yet:eek::eek::eek::eek:
