Yes I have tried turning it off and on and it doesnt work. The upgrade of firmware I was told it had to be sent off to three for that which is really inconvenient. I thought it could be done in a three storeThanx

I'm even more pleased with 3 at the mo...seems like they've either put in another base station closer to my work (where I had reception issues) or upped the output power on the one up the road from home, so I now can use phone properly in work !! hurrah !!......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -
Just a question folks, I have lately got a free Nokia N73 with a 12-month contract with 3. However, when I called 3 Service to ask for the price of unlocking the phone, as I don't want to pay the horribly high roaming rate while abroad, they said I have to pay £350 network fee on top of the £15 unlocking fee as I'm just on the second month of the contract. They said I can have it unlocked for only 15 quid after 12 months.
This is outrageously ridiculous, isn't it? Is it legal for them to do so though?0 -
Hi all, this is my first post and was wondering if anyone could help. I have 2 contract phones on an 18 month contract from 3 network. I was told by "phones 4 u" staff that the first 6 months were half price at £22.50 and then I was told to lower the tariff after six months but when I went to lower it I was told by 3 that I had to wait till 9 months before lowering and now I have to pay £45 pound a month on each phone for 3 months. I have also been told that there is a £25 fee for lowering the contract so this is going to cost me another £150 til I get both phones to the contract I want. This contract was mis-sold to me and was wondering what options I have.
Thanks in advance.0 -

I suggest you spend pennies on a cheap phone to use abroad. Less upsetting if you lose it, too. I presume you are not going to one of the countries with a Three network that now costs the same to use as in the UK?Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
Hello
Im new so this is my first post.
I tried to lower my tariff with 3 a couple of days ago, they would only lower it to the next tariff down and wanted to charge me £25 or extend my contract by 6 months for the privilidge!!!! Apparently this is there new policy from the 13th December 2006. I tried to argue with them as I took out my contract in May 2006 and was told I could lower my tariff after 9 months as I took out a 18 month contract. They said they could change the terms and conditions when they wanted without notice!!!!! This seems so wrong, is there anything I can do????
Regards

I've just been told the same!!!I wanted to reduce from a £30 a month to £25 pound a month tariff- the Indian Call centre told me I will have to pay £25 "admin charge" in order to do this!!! It must cost pennies to make the changes.
They treat you like a prisoner in solitary confinement, not as a customer!
Three seem to be just making up the rules as they go- I will never go with them ever again and will avoid 18 month contracts as the Nokia N70 I got from them is prone to crashing/locking up and has a very short battery life. e.g. barely lasts 1 year yet alone 18 months - its just not worth it.
I just said to the bloke on the phone - "ok I'll be leaving three as soon as my contract finishes- happy now?" - hopefully they record the phone calls and will realise how annoyed they make their "customers".0 -

Whats the retention offers with these at the moment?
I have vtt 700 and want about the same but on 12 months. The phones dont last 18 months so cant have 18 month contract
Mine ends on 24th I have my pac code does that help to get a better deal?
They wouldnt put me down for cancellation aswell it was either or, pac code/cancellation shes aid if I didnt use pac code I had to ring back and start the 30 days again to just cancelThanx

Three is is absolutely rubbish, the customer service is rubbish, when u send phone for repair, they are quick to claim water damage (both my phones were said to have this even though not true).
WORST OF ALL YOU GET CHARGED PER MINUTE RATHER THAN SECOND, so those minutes get used up quick time with small calls here and there.
I WOULD RATHER PAY MORE, THAN DEAL WITH A CALL CENTRE STAFF WHO CONTINUE TO READ THROUGH PROTOCOL IGNORING WHAT YOUR SAYING IN THE PROCESS.
thanx Rant over!!!
Happy MSE'ingsave me money not time0
