Penny-pincher, Thanks buti t isn't easy I get exhausted doing every little thing. Just changing from one lecture hall to another in 5 minutes at uni has me clutching my chest and nearly in tears. And don't start me on stairs! One flight I can manage, 2-3 and and I'm choking like my throat has been closed up. The blood just cant get round my body quick enough when it starts beating at 250-300 BPM and as im 5ft11 its really hard pumping the blood against a gradient. Im currently a lab bunny- its a rare condition, and its trial and error with the ops. Now had 10 ops in under 4years (can anyone top that! lol), but as long as I live a 'normal' life I'll be happy. But because I manage it successfully, doesn't mean its easy and I do it because I dont want anyone to think I can't look after my son properly cos of it.
Chortle- I think you're right. I'll keep the house and find cheap ways to do it up. Someone sent me an application for DIY SOS but this is for people with a 'crap DIYer' in the house, and you have to name them as a culprit as well as show off handywork thats gone wrong, so its not really for me as Im on my own. Anyone know any other TV decorating programs wanting people??0 -
Chortle wrote:Depends on the contract. Once you have exchanged - it is normal as far as I am aware for the vendor to KEEP the deposit, should the buyer pull out. Like I say, I suspect it varies depending on the exact wording of the contract, but every time I've bought a house, I have known that if I pulled out AFTER exchange, I would lose ALL of my deposit.
ETA - just found this
here
What I meant was before exchange of contracts, I know you cant pull out after that. As far as it looks, Miss K hasn't exchanged contracts yet.0 -

I dont have mobility problems! My arms and legs work as good as anyone elses, its my heart that doesn;t work! I can do most things, I might be in pain but I can do it I just need supervising as I'm at constsnt risk of heart attack and blackouts0 -

This is the problem that people are having with your posts - you say you're going to get bar jobs, cleaning work etc to fund the house, but then you say you can't manage to walk up a couple of flights of stairs and get exhausted doing every little thing! How can you possibly make that work?!0 -
Well yeah you could pull out then, many do when they get search results back. I've signed contract but not completed and sent cheque for deposit. Either way I dont want to forfeit my house and at the least would lose £800 or so in fee's etc.0

Your prepared to risk your life with all your health problems? trying to work, study and renovate a house, not to mention money worries on top of all that0 -
I get tired, I get exhausted but I'm not a mard !!!!!!, I live with it and get on with it. I can get a bar job, it'll tire me out but I'll do it. I can clean, I clean my own house, it isn't exhausting work unless you're up ladders cleaning windows or something which I wouldn't do-it'd be 'light' cleaning, ie, dusting, hoovering, washing up...0

you can try I think its beon.tv - but I couldnt find much and ended up doing it myself, my freind wanted that guy off city gardner to come and sort out my yard ( she fancies him madly) , but i couldnt find it on there.
Sometihng doesnt add up here miss K. 1) you reckon you can barely walk from lecture room to lecture room but you reckon you wil be working in a bar. HAve you ever worked in a bar, constantly on your feet for hours on end, and changing lines, shifting boxes. Either your health isnt what you say it is, or you will be putting yourself seriously at risk by even considering it. If I were a landlord I wouldnt employ you to be honest, Its just too risky, either that or you are not as ill as you say you are.
In any event, if you are this ill, dont take on heavy manual labour- you dont need me to tell you how risky this is to your health if you are as ill as you say you are. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
