    Gls you got your money back. I just looked on Tripadvisor and think I saw the review for that place as well. It staggers belief that in a time of recession that such an establishment could still be solvent.

    Well ladies - the following places have been recommended to me.

    Leeds Castle

    The Ward Rooms at Chatham Maritime

    Cooling Castle - barn weddings

    Penshurst Place - this seems to have various discounts available if you get married on different days of the week.

    All look as though they will look after you - I havent visited any of them so can't comment further but they are worth a look.
  • SIL got married at Cooling - I think they would pretty much organise everything if you wanted. SIL had no complaints and is a demanding little cow!

    Take a look at Horace's suggestion of Leeds Castle, don't know what they are like as a wedding venue, but its such a lovely place in a breathtaking setting. Visited there over 20 years ago and its one of those places when you see the words the picture is in your mind xx
