i agree its my favourite place since i moved here but when i enquired the average wedding there costs 36k :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: (that was a while ago) and there were not small packages available - i cant even afford 3.6k :o:rotfl::rotfl:

I know someone who is looking for a wedding venue who was quoted £20K just for the use of the hotel!

    Oh, Beks!!!

First time poster on this thread after I've just sat and read every last one of the posts!!!

You, your fella and your little girl are some of the bravest people I've ever encountered. At first the thread made me cry, then thanks to Steph I laughed quite a lot, and now I've got tears streaming down my face because I'm so happy for you all!!! What you have been through in the past 8 months is terrible, but after all this, you are still wanting to get married, and as far as I'm concerned, that is a sign that your marriage is going to last forever.

You've been through so much as a family, you truly deserve the very best for your wedding day, and for the rest of your lives really. I don't watch the news because, well, it's downright depressing, but I have great admiration for people serving in the Forces and to know that your OH is still fighting makes me ashamed to be classed as disabled. I have all my limbs and still feel pretty useless, you've given me the kick up the backside that I well and truly needed.

I wish you the very best for your futures, you deserve every bit of happiness that heads your way. As a family, you should be so proud of your acheivements. You really are a true inspiration to everyone, and I wish I lived closer, I'd be there giving you all massive cuddles, just for being so brave and strong, and facing the trouble and strife together.

Can't wait to hear/see what you do decide on for your big day. I bet there are a hundred people subscribed to this thread who would love to be there with you.

You're are fantastic, truly fabulous. I'm so proud of you, and I don't even know you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations, and good luck for your future, from the bottom of my heart!!! xx xx xx
Yaaay, I finally conned a man into making a honest woman of me. Even more shocking is that I can put the words "Happily" and "Married" into the same sentence and not have life insurance on my mind when I say it ;-)

Screamer I totally agree with you love I had a week in New York last week and did so much walking my legs hurt now but when I look at it I am so lucky to have all of my limbs it must be such a awful thing to go through I don't know how I would of coped. Beks and Mr Beks are a total inspiration to me and I really can't wait for them to set a date so I can help out.

Can you imagine, they would have to have the wedding at Wembley Stadium, judging by the number of people viewing this thread!!

    Thank you all.

Screamer, your post has started me off now. We are nothing special but an ordinary family doing orginary things. OH is truely amazing and he is the world to me.

Hopefully get round to checking out OHs bank account later and see if his money is back in.

Funny how life has a habit of knocking you down!! :)

Beks I've just posted on your wall love. I feel dead sad for him but he hasn't let anyone down the only thing that is letting people down is the NHS they need to sort this out asap is there any sort of FB group for this sort of thing? if not maybe we should start one and get a petition going to get these men back to life before this all happened.

    Steph xx

My mum just said a very good thing that, maybe we should all get in contact with prince harry as he is supposed to be backing this and tell him that if your OH wants to complete this then his fellow north pole mates should be prepared to carry him or get something so he can finish this and not make him feel like he is doing.
