Brilliant review Beks! It says it exactly as it was. I only hope other prospective brides and grooms read Trip Advisor before they take the plunge with this awful place. Reading your review about Mr Martin hassling you for the money reminded me of a landlord we had a few years back. Exactly the same!! Ringing constantly for the deposit money then once he had it we couldn't get hold of him! Vile little slugs!!!
You're an inspiration to everyone Beks. When it got tough you didn't give up, even though you probably felt like it at the time! It was all worth it in the end and when your special day finally arrives it'll be all the more special because of all the hassle you've had.
Your OH is an inspiration too! What an amazing man!!! :A:A0 -
Have just read your review Beks and have to say it's really good. :TStriving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670

Very, very good review Beks: factual as can be, yet conveys the whole horror of what you have been through to get the money back.
Anyone who reads that review and books a wedding there is either a fool or a damned fool.
Nice one! :beer:Please call me 'Pickle'

Thanks everyone, I am still not too sure that the review says enough but unfortunately, it cannot be changed on trip advisor once it is submitted. I spent a while writing it out but then seemed to submit it without glancing over it and half of what I wanted to convey, I had omitted!!
Oh well, lets hope people get the jist (?sp) of it!
Have another one here

My hands remain tied about going to the papers, OH is really reluctant and I have to try and respect that but I am still trying to do what I can on the internet. I just dont know if it will help future brides though because it did not even cross my mind to check out reviews first.0 -
Beks, I think both your reviews are fine. Every pertinent point was made without getting emotional and personal. So glad you got your money back and can move on. As for going to the papers, personally I would be exhausted with it all now and just want to give it up and move on. I think you've done plenty to warn people - you are not Anne Robinson!
Good luck to you both with planning a new wedding. xIf you have nothing constructive to say just move along.0 -
beks why dont you write to a wedding mag and anonymously tell them what happened to you
you can explain why you cant go public but your desperate for others to be warned
the mag might be able to find someone else who will go public if they research itI am not bossy I just have better ideas:p0 -
Wow. I just spent the last few hours reading this thread from start to finish. Beks, you (and your wonderful family) are truly an inspiration to everyone! Well done on beating this absolute scumbag of an individual. :T

Thanks joho, bubbles and miss_imaginative.
joho - I think I just feel I have to do something to get the message across to the others. After everything this man put us through, I am still bitter and I don't feel like he has suffered in anyway (okay he lost a few £100 in court costs and got a CCJ to his name, but he hasn't exactly had any sleepless nights because of it). After 9 months of stress, upset and sleepless nights, I want some kind of revenge but of course, legally and legitimately. The truth will out and I hope his company goes down where it belongs.
bubbles, thats a good idea. I wonder if maybe I could do it but not OH, I wonder if he would agree to that?? hmmmm!!!
Miss-I - sorry, it is a long read from start to finish!!! I really dont think I am inspirational at all. This has broken me down many a time but each time, someone on here has picked me up and kept me going. For me, it was just so important to get OHs compensation money back, had it been money from anything else then I might have given up at the first, 2nd, 3rd or 4th hurdle! The thought of that man languishing on OHs compensation, pushed me forward each time.
I am now keeping myself busy by posting the saga on other wedding forums (some of you have found me on there lol - thank you for your support!!!!)0 -
I see from Companies House that he's changed his accountant and registered office in the last few weeks.
Next accounts due to be filed by end of September, might have to keep an eye on them0
