I would reply saying that she was very quick so she can choose which one she wants but you don't give all to one person.

Or let her have them - if she sells them so what? And if she is a hoarder then that's her business....

Well done for giving stuff away and not just dumping it like lots of people do!

It's always hard to determine if a person in reply to an Offer is going to sell on an item or not.

In the Freecycle rules, if a person is Taking or posting a Wanted with the INTENTION of selling on ie Car Boot or a Charity, they must declare it up front in their reply to the Offerer.
Not everyone wants their items to be sold on.

On the other hand, we do get people Offering items stating that they don't mind if Items are off to a Car Boot etc.

In your case, you could wait until you have a few more replies for your Offers and then just cherry pick the best (polite!) answers for your items and their new homes.

I usually wait for 24 hours and everyone who replies gets put into a draw. This way everyone gets a fair chance.
If you’re British in the living room, what are you in the bathroom? European!

my advice would be to put her name on 3 bits of paper along with the other names and do a draw for each item.then its answered for you. if she wins any tell her which item incase she expects all before she collects.if noone else responds and you want rid then its up to you if you let her have it all or wait awhile.

I wait for a day's worth of replies, usually, then choose who a) asks most nicely and b) who gives me a good reason as to why they want it.

(I always ask people to email me with the reason they want the item; anyone who emails with "i want this, tell me when to collect it" is ignored automatically. Any email that doesn't say 'please' or 'thank you' is ignored, too.)
' <-- See that? It's called an apostrophe. It does not mean "hey, look out, here comes an S".

    Totally agree!
It's amazing how many messages an Offerer receives, that simply say "I'll take it off your hands, whats your address?"
....That, usually for me, goes straight in the Trash!

    What happened to manners?
Do people really think they have even a micro chance of receiving something from a kind person if they are not even the slightest bit polite?
Are Please and Thank you SO old fashioned today that they are discarded like..... like an Offer on Freecycle?!! (LOL!)

  • I wait at least 24 hours (recommended by the Fair Offer Policy).

This allows those on daily digest, or at work etc. to have a chance against those with auto-responderd who reply to anything immediately it hist their inbox.

I also just delete any that are not polite but that is my personal preference.
    To infinity and beyond!

Fair Offer Policy works well and as you say lets those on Daily Digest have a fair shot at the items too.

I have no time for the rude/impolite replies either! Delete.... waste of space in my inbox!! :D

I also wait at least a day to read replies (and like others, any in txt speak, rude etc get deleted without hesitation!)
If you don't feel like arranging 3 different visits, then give them to someone who wants them all. People are not always reliable, so you may be left with one or two things that you have to advertise again or contact someone else and arrange another visit (if I have alot of replies I keep some emails for as a waiting list)
