I like simple pasta with a teaspoon of red or green pesto mixed in to it. Either cold or reheated it's yummy!

Or I make simple sauce of onion, garlic, tinned toms and herbs.

Mix in tuna and red-onion, make one tin of tuna do several days.

    grated cheese and chopped tomatoes.

Prawn layered salad, mix prawns with mayo and tomato sauce, layer lettuce, pasta, tomato, cucumber and prawn mix.

Mix in some left over dips like cheese and chive or salsa.

Cream cheese such as philidelphia or cheese out of a tube with spring onion.

Tomato, cucumbers, peppers etc with balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing.

Fresh basil or other herbs, olive oil and black olives.

I would go with the Pesto idea too,any of the pesto jars from Supermartkets are good.....Sacla etc.
Morrisons also do their own label cheap pesto sauce,it's lovely.

    Hi Dfw,

One that I like is pasta with a little onion and garlic added towards the end of cooking. Once drained mix in sweetcorn, chopped sweet peppers and chopped tomatoes. While it's still warm, season with lots of black pepper and stir in some olive oil to stop it all clumping together. Lovely either hot or cold

There are loads more ideas on this thread:

I'll add this thread to that one later to keep the suggestions together.

    i make a spicy tomato sauce -

fry a med onion till soft, add 1/2 teasp of chili flakes (more or less to your taste), fry for about 1 min, add a tin of chopped tomatoes, a squidge of tom puree and a teaspoon of sugar. simmer for about 20-30 mins til sauce is thickened.

    Add to pasta.

You can add fried chopped bacon, mushrooms, peppers or whatever you have.

i also like to grate 2 mini baby bels on the pasta, it goes all stringy like mozzarella.

That's the great thing about pasta, it is so versatile and goes with a lot of things, usually things you would find in your store cupboard anyway.

To make it really filling, you can add a tin of red kidney beans. Very cheap and good for you too. It's worth making a big bowlful and keeping it in the fridge, it'll last a good few days.

My personal favourite is to roast some veg (onions, garlic, mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, courgettes, aubergine..whatever you have) in the oven when I'm cooking something else and then stir it all into the pasta Yummy!!

For lunches I love tuna mayo and sweetcorn with pasta, so simple yet so nice, and for extra measure sometimes I add grated cheese.

There is this tuna pasta bake that I do love hot and cold though, its one of those packet sauces where you add milk. It's Colman's I think. I usually get it when it's on offer.

Another option, chopped tomatoes with selected herbs and spices in boiled up, with chopped up ham and peppers in.
