Mix very thin slices of courgette and grated cheese into hot pasta and it goes soft, melted and delicious.
I use tomatoe puree (from appr*ved f**ds) rather than chopped pasta salad as I like everything to stick together to minimise the potential for mess and dropping foodDon't fully drain the pasta, mix puree and vegetables in until you get a sauce and it really sticks to the pasta when cooled.
maman i love roast vegetable pasta sauce and soup but never thought to put them in the oven when i'm doing a batch bake! thank you!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

Hi
I like mine with a tbs of mayonaisse, and a tbs of left over curry. Add a handful of left over cooked chicken and it is very nice.£36/£240

Farfalle, fusilli or penne etc., sliced mushrooms, shredded scallions and chopped red and green peppers, with a some balsamic vinegar and olive oil, chopped oregano and basil (if you want to push the boat out a bit, some chopped sun dried tomatoes), or some mayonnaise. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

My favourite is to slice a couple of pieces of german salami (or pepperoni) into slivers, warm them in the bottom of a large pan, add the cooked pasta and stir through. This really gives the pasta a fantastic flavour without doing a big cook up of sauce - then add whatever you fancy (I usually cube some cheese and stir that through) to serve.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

For sun dried toms try home bargins, £1 a jar and it last for ages as you only need 2 or 3 cut up small for a few days worth of pasta. I also get artichokes in a jar from HB.
tuna sweetcorn mayo pasta as said, with grated chees or some cream cheese mixed in.
To jazz it up a bit I used fresh basil leaves mixed in with peppers toms and olive oil and crushed garlic. The basil leaves are not that dear, and by making my pasta more of a 'treat' I wanted to eat it rather than buy somthing fromn canteen so saved in long run!
If you do put crushed raw garlic in be careful as I find it gets stronger as the week goes on, by thurs my lunch was v garlic-ey!
I have cold pasta salads for lunch. Do those of you who have tomato sauce/roast veg eat this cold, or does it need heated to taste nice?0 -

Stir in a bit of cream cheese (plain or the ones with garlic and herbs etc) and to this you can also add a bit of smoked salmon or shredded chicken or maybe some chopped ham or left over bacon. Whatever you have to hand really!0
