  • Then sue me and MSE. I will go one step further: by its claim XL is selling goods which belong to a third party, which is tantamount to selling stolen goods. Anyone buying is receiving stolen goods.

I wonder why your posts are being removed, and nobody else's? Remember that Sky is a powerful organisation and if this comes to their attention they will eat you for breakfast!

I take it you have no legal experience at all.

    Then come clean.

Explain how somebody can watch Sky subscription channels legally without paying for them.

Explain how you can sell cards legally, cards which are not yours to sell and are clearly the property of Sky Subscriptions Ltd.

Simple way to clear this up.

The amount of money this Company stands to make 'if its all legal' is phenomenal.

    Heres what needs to happen:

The owner goes onto Dragons Den - asks them for £250k for 50% of his business - he then uses the £250k to advertise on Sky1 that he is selling these cards.

At that point he shows the Dragons how its legal and they give him the cash.

Meanwhile 100,000 people immediately reduce their service on Sky to the minimum level and buy these cards.

    As for me "I'm out"

however, I will state AGAIN for the record, the Sky cards are legally acquired from Sky themselves.
We are not under any obligation to divulge any information other than that.

That you have acquired the cards legally from Sky has never been disputed.

It is what you do with these cards thereafter that many of us question.

I would advise that anyone who wants a Sky subscription gets one from Sky or an authorised Sky agent.

I take it that you are not an authorised agent.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
    RIP independent MSE.

MSE TEAM PERMISSION: CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENTS

Company representatives are actively encouraged to post on the forum to provide good customer service to MoneySavers. They should not be using the opportunity to tout for business. We need to know in order to legitimise it. Where permission has been given for a company/person to specifically post there will be a note from the MSE Team. Our cards are not there for people to steal from Sky - nor would we wish for them to be used in this manner.

You do not have to pay £30per month to Sky, there are other alternatives.

So if your cards are legal, not encouraging people to steal from Sky, and only to be used as backup copies ...

perhaps, as this is a moneysaving forum, you might explain how people can avoid paying Sky £30, and what those alternatives are?

that should be well within both the law, and the rules of this forum, as you wouldn't be promoting using your own product

It is not about 'coming clean' - because there is nothing to 'come clean' about :)

And neither are we going to add any information which could lead to other people selling the same item - however, I will state AGAIN for the record, the Sky cards are legally acquired from Sky themselves.
We are not under any obligation to divulge any information other than that.
But are they legally aquired by you?? ....From Sky.
I'm seem to remember a while back that Sky refused to sell cards to anyone living in spain/france etc. ( please correct me if I'm wrong ). So people abroad got people in the UK to take out a subscription and send the card to them. I wonder....... not that i'm accusing anyone of anything of course.

So tell me then....the man at the car boot sale that Trading Standards and the Police nick for selling copies just has to tell them he only sold them to people who said they had the original DVD/Game/Music cd ,etc. and he will get off scot free? I don't think so.
