zztopgirl - the weather is looking good for Wednesday, I have a little shrug to go over my dress so I'll still be warm/cool if the weather turns. Good luck to you too.

i did it! in new york, got married in city hall, honeymooned in the USA, and everyone loved the fact we kept it as a big suprise when we got home, and it also saved us a fortune!!
good luck,
This is something I would like to do....just waiting for partner to ask me;)
Question is, who was your witness?
If we decide to do in this country and not tell anyone, who would we have as witnesses?Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

well we took our 2 best friends with us, but as there are lots of other people getting married at the same time, maybe they could act for you, BTW you only need one, though our friends really made the holiday for us too, i can recommend it enough!0 -
Well we tied the knot today! It was a lovely day and we had glorious weather. The ceremony was short but very sweet and we went out for a lovely meal afterwards. We announced the wedding on facebook, after the event, though half my family found out through my mum who was happy that she could finally spill the beans;). My family were all very understanding of how we got married, though of course they all wished they could have been there. I am very happy at how the day turned out and the only thing I would have changed is my hairstyle  lol.
zztopgirl, hope everything goes well for you tomorrow.0 -

Congratulations - and well done xxxx
re the hair, well, I had a slightly more organised wedding (20 people came!) in the 1980's and, believe me, you can run that risk however you do it... Why did I ever think that a bubble perm was a great idea???Reason for edit? Can spell, can't type!0 -

Notsayingaword, I thought of you today and glad it all went ok! Huge congrats to you and your new hubby!
Am a total nervous wreck and madly excited, thanks so much for the good wishes though. Am too nervous to eat but have prepared a massive picnic for tomorrow, seeing as the weather is nice we can have an outdoor reception in a local park:D Am going to loiter about on the net for a bit, then finish what I need to get ready tonight and try to get some sleep but doubt I will sleep much. It feels like the night before christmas when I was little, lol I sound like a big kid:D0 -
