Thanks Beanie, you are right, considering how long its taken to get this far, a little longer isn't going to hurt any.
It is all on a 0% cc and I'm attempting saving in an isa to pay it off at the end of the term as well as paying mimimum payments. I don't think I'll have enough by the time it finishes, but it should certainly break it's back.
Been to mil's and planted some bedding plants for her, it is a little early really as there is still chance of a frost, but she has her house up for sale and is convinced a few pansies will help sell it, suppose it won't do any harm.
I have bought some fence paint today, so am in for an exciting time painting my fences at some point this week. I have planted loads of veg seeds too, keep looking to see if they are sprouting yet, but maybe I'm expecting a bit to much as I'm checking a few times a day and I only did them on TUesday. I've always done them on my wondow ledges before but am trying them in a mini polythene greenhouse without any heating this year, hope its not too cold again.
I have impressed myself this week and eaten very sensibly, off to polish my halo in a moI'm hoping it will show on the scales.

sounds like you've been busy in the garden...haven't done anything in mine yet but looks like the strawberries have come up again from last year and some other stuff don't know what yet...lol..may be weeds.
All the walking sounds good and I bet that mum appreciated the break and the child the stimulation.0 -
Where is the cheapest place for the fence paint?

I got mine from B&Q Beanie - there was cheaper than I bought but have used the cheaper ones in the past and they've only lasted a year. I got Cuprinol which claims it'll last 5 years - think its the one I used last time and it lasted the longest I've ever known. Had an offer on buy 2 get 1 free so got the 3 tubs for £37 think they're 5ltr.
Hi Taxi - not sure how much success I'll have this year with the seeds - I always start off really enthusiastcally then forget to water or something stupid and kill them off. I'm planting everything in tubs as dh's train track has sort of taken over the garden......... planted tumbling cherry tomatoes, plum tomatoes, corgettes, peas, green beans, peppers, carrots and some salad stuff and herbs. My strawberries are in hanging baskets and are looking VERY sorry for themselves - the birds have nicked all the fibre from the baskets and they have completely dried out - they seriously need repotting to see if I can do anything with them. My cherry and blueberry are doing really well in their tubs though and are full of flowers - I had 1 cherry from 2 trees last year making it a £30 cherry - it was the first year though. Buying things for the garden and craft stuff is my weakness though - think I've cracked stopping the craft spends but at this time of year I can't pass a pack of seeds or tray of bedding plants without giving into temptation!!

Had a busy couple of weeks - Have painted fances, done some gardening but am waiting on dh to finish the water feature we are re-arranging - so still got rocks all over the place, it looks awful, but am hoping it will come together soon. DH is struggling a bit with the size of the job and we are both sorry we started it now
it's not costing much as we are re-using what we have, a bag or so of concrete is all we have had to buy.
Seeds are doing well and nearly ready to transplant to bigger pots.
I'm on a mission to use the freezer this month and buy as little as possible - might mean a few odd meals, then I can defrost the freezer and have a mega cook-in next month. Moneywise things are going ok - I am hoping to make a massive payment (for me anyway!!) next month. I would do it this month but we are going to the caravan and I want to make sure I have enough cash to enjoy myself. So once back I'll toddle on down to the bank with a great big smile on my face and be a step nearer paying things off once and for all
This second job is really making a difference to my finances, even though it isn't a lot each month - it just keeps me on the right side of everything. Things are looking hopeful on my main job contract being renewed too - boss told me not to worry, it was looking highly likely I'd still have a job come September

Wasted a couple of hours looking for cheap car insurance to find I already had the cheapest - which is good - but I could have put my time to better use.
DH spent time in garden whilst I did that then we headed to the seaside for a wallk along the sea front - I could happily live near the sea and watch the tides all day..............
Back to work tomorrow - I have to call at the shops on my way as it was my 'turn' to stock the snacks up for the kids at work - I called to 24 hour Mr T's on our way home at 8pm - they were shut!!!!!!!! - I suppose the staff are allowed a bank holiday too, and it is fully deserved - I was just very surprised as I hadn't seen any change of hours posted when I was in earlier in the week. I could have gone this morning had I have realised. Never mind Mr M is open at 8am and I 'll call in on my way to work. If that's my biggest gripe - life must be good LOL!!!!!

Sounds good to me too Taxi and Beanie - feeling very positive about things at mo
Had to smile as I was in Blackpool - I looked in every cab I saw wondering if it was your OH - wouldn't have known even if it was - but shows I was thinking of you Taxi LOL
Going out for a 'hen' meal with ladies from work. A good friend who I have worked with many years at my old place and here is getting married after living with her partner for years - so is having a meal out tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to it
However it isn't looking good on me losing the stone I wanted to lose before my holidays next month. I really must get my head round it - HOW HARD CAN IT BE???????????????
