Not been around for a while - still chipping away at things - slowly but surely debt is coming down. Weight is yo-yoing a bit probably due to the fact that I ate out 7 out of 8 days recently:eek: - some posh and others cheap and cheerful but I enjoyed them all. Must get myself back into the right frame of mind with everything. Funny how sometimes it's NO problem - other times it's a VERY BIG problem;) - it's like a switch clicking frame of mind!!

In a bid to get back on track both spending and exercise wise I went for a long walk at weekend - about 10 miles. I must be the only person who tries to get fitter and ends up on strong anti-biotics :( - my ankles swelled so much I ended up with cellulitis and have to go back to the docs in a couple of weeks to see if she can determine the underlying cause - this keeps happening but usually clears more quickly than this time.

I'm working a few hours each week with my 2nd job and doing a holiday club for a week - so looking forward to that. DH can't get any time off during the holidays and it'll keep me busy :D plus add a few pennies to the pot :T:T

Will try and catch up with diaries now

Worked 4 hours today. Had a lovely time - didn't feel like work at all :) every little helps as they say.

Went out for our wedding anniversary - 33 years - last night - only to local pub as dh was late in from work but will go out properly next week when he finishes early.

Feeling a bit flat and not sure why - must give myself a good talking to. Not much planned for this week other than a couple of hours work on Wednesday and Thursday. Dh should be off Friday so weather permitting will go somewhere nice. I do like the idea of long school holidays but in reality the last couple of years have found myself bored now I've got house decorated ok and kids are all grown. There are bits I could re-decorate but to be honest I don't want to spend unnecessarily.

I should be using my gym membership whilst I've got time but can't get the motivation at all. MUST DO BETTER - must do better .................................. If I tell myself long enough I might actually DO something about it!!

Thanks Taxi - anti-biotics seem to have done the job only got 2 tablets left to take - the redness and swelling has gone down a lot - just need to see what happens next time I'm on my feet for a while or have a long walk - it's more annoying and baffling than painful to be honest - it has been happening a long time but it's swelling more and taking longer to clear each time. So maybe it has been slightly infected a while and not been fully clearing - hopefully I've sorted it now :) Hope you are feeling better in the boobie department - now THAT doesn't sound much fun at all - you can hardly sit and elevate that on a reclining chair as I can with my ankle :0

I have to return to the doctor next week so am going to walk each day and see if it gets blotchy or returns again - might as well be able to tell the doctor properly. But if that's the biggest of my health worries life is good :)

My sil has been in for a hip replacement this week and had a knee done last September too - talk about 'we have the technology to re-build you' - moan as we may about the NHS - my family seem to get their monies worth LOL.

I've had such a lazy day today - didn't surface until midday and have vegged in front to tv all day. I did cook tea - lamb chops, pototoes from garden and peas - very delish;) dh is currently washing up and amking a cuppa :)

I went to a friends surprise party last night - it was one of those I didn't feel in the mood for but thoroughly enjoyed myself. I only had a small amount to drink as I wasn't sure what was what with the medication (didn't say not to have alcahol on packet but I didn't want to chance it) dh enjoyed it too. I have been friends with her since I was 5 so know all her family well - it was good to catch up.

Sun has just come out here after piddling down all day. Hope it stays around tomorrow and I can go and have a lovely ealk somewhere.

I've walked into town today about 4 miles round trip. I was very good went into big craft shop and resisted buying 'stuff' - decided to use some of the bedroom full of stash I already have. I'd looked at cushions for the lounge in Dunelm and decided to make them myself - I bought the cushions last summer and have had material ages - but kept changing my mind and just cba - they will be done before the week is through................... honest.........

Bought bargainous cabbage for 30p - actually looked better than the full priced bag at £1 - so left over potatoes cooked yesterday from garden, cabbage, carrots and left over beef from freezer for tea - very cheap, very easy and very tasty!!

Had great intentions of making cushions today - but have been watching tv about riots instead - couldn't move from it. Dd lives literally up the road from Hackney and has to travel through the areas affected daily - so all a bit scary. She took her driving test today too - she passed :) but was a bit worried whether or not it would actually take place - think it's a matter of as much business as usual!!

Too much time on my hands at the moment to sit and think about things so I'm pleased to be working tomorrow for 4 hours.

Just picked 5 courgettes from the garden - not sure how many more I'll get as plants seem to be dying off. Tomatoes have been a real let down this year. At the moment I'm debating whether or not to bother next year...........

Great news for your DD but tempered no doubt by worrying about her.
More than a wee bit scarey I think.

Had a lovely day out with dh for our anniversary which was last week but he had to work late. We'd half planned a day in Manchester but was put off earlier in the week by the rioting and I didn't think it would happen. Anyway after much thought we decided that there had been no trouble for a few days and with extra police about came to the decision that it was probably about as safe as it gets. So we had afternoon tea a mooch around followed by cocktails in posh hotel (a real one off treat) and then tea out before returning home.

We'd walked a fair way but not miles and miles - my legs and feet were so swollen and these red non-itchy patches all over them like a couple of weeks ago - it's really bugging me as I've no idea what it could be :o

Had a fairly lazy day today with my feet up - swelling has gone down a lot and patches faded but still there!!

It was sad seeing so many building boarded up - but there were far more people about than I expected.

I'm at work tomorrow for a holiday club and then an eye test afterwards.

Dh has a few days off in a couple of weeks and we're thinking of going away maybe to Wales around Tenby area (our passports have run out ages ago so can't be abroad) Been looking on t'internet but can't decide!! Think I want Hilton style at Travellodge prices ;)

I've had a busy week but enjoyed doing the holiday club at work. Pay cheque should be about 10 days :)

My ankles have been really troubling me though and doc is sending me for x-rays. I'm going out on Monday and Tuesday and if I can manage it I want to do a fair bit of walking so that when I have the x-rays on Wednesday it shows them up as they have been recently. I really don't think much to this getting older lark - bet they put it down to something like wear and tear LOL
