Had another NSD today - I'm liking working through my lunchtime as I get provided with a lunch - ok don't always get time to eat it but it's saving me a bomb.

Had a bit of sad news about a close family member today - will see what the next few days bring. Feeling a bit numb really at the mo. Kicks money stuff into perspective.

Off to bed for an early night.

Thanks both of you - they're beginning to respond to anti-biotics after the scare, but the outcome is inevitable really as in very advanced stages of Alzeimhers (had it about 15 years now, started in their 40's), just a matter of when it'll happen really. All very mixed emotions. But hey that's life I suppose - sent to try us. One of those that I know in my head would be for the best, but my heart is saying different. They have been a part of my life since I was 3, so even though an 'in-law' they are VERY REAL family.

I've had another NSD so still feeling pleased with that.

Went out last night on our post-Christmas do. Food was really good, bottles of wine were half price between 8 and 10, and admission to a club was included in the £25 meal. So it felt like a cheap night as I'd already paid for the meal in instalments - so although I had paid £25 for it, it wasn't last night. I shared the price of wine with a friend. So I actually parted with less than £10 last night and had a great night. Much better than going in December when they are catering for the masses.

The only bug bear was my ankle - I went over on it earlier in the week and it is black and blue and a bit swollen - not as bad as I'd expected but it swells more as the day goes on. It's not that sore really, but as the evening went on I could feel my shoe getting tighter and tighter, so rather than get in the mini bus home at 2am, dh picked me up about midnight - I didn't dance either. But had a good laugh with girls from work and feel as if I'm getting to know them a bit better now.

I'm going out with friends from my old job mid-week. So 2 social occasions in a week - it's always all or nothing LOL

Work still haven't paid me for 5 extra hours I'm doing each week - this has been ongoing since October, so when I actually get it it should be worth having, providing the tax man hasn't taken too much.

I've had a really lazy day, a trip to Morrisons to stock up a few fresh bits, less than a tenner in total and hopefully that will see me through the week. That was about as energetic as it got today I'm afraid. I sat and watched Marley and Me - talk about a tear jerker........ I'm planning on having a clean-up in the house tomorrow though - unless anything better comes along that is!!

Family member has stabilised again, but not a good situation at all. Very sad.

    Take care
