Life has been fairly busy here - feels as if it might have been busy doing nothing though - not sure where time is going!!!!!

I am managing ok on the reduced wage because of paying the loan off so not as much going out - but I am being super careful and really thinking of what I'm spending on.

I have been doing my £40 a week shop at Mr M's to collect my vouchers for Christmas. I have been stocking up on store cupboard ingredients mainly so shouldn't need much after Christmas. Freezer is half full but I'm purposely waiting till nearer the time so I can fill up properly - in the meantime I'll carry on using the stock from in there.

I still feel as if it is too early for Christmas and haven't been as disorganised on the present front for a couple of years - I have NO idea what to get some people - a trip to the shops must be imminent for me - I think I've put it off for as long as I can!!

Not much else to report - just plodding along here!!

Just ordered £30 M&S vouchers from my reward card points - quite pleased as I'm only spending on it instead of cash for what I'd usually buy and then paying it off every month. Think I'll buy a new top with it :) just got to wait for it to arrive now....

The account I've been saving in for the past year is mounting up nicely for Christmas - just £50 a month but I'm feeling a bit smug - need to leave it until 1st December to maximise what bit of interest and bonus there is with it. Then will use it for Christmas, my car insurance and if any left will pay off my 0% card - mmmmm....... might have to add a bit of elastic to make it stretch THAT far........but one lives in hope LOL

I have a couple of training sessions starting next month with the new casual job I've taken on - I've just sent the medical form off though and am expecting to have to go for a medical as I usually get called upon. But the training isn't anything I haven't done before - just them making sure they have trained us to their own standards I suppose. But I'll get paid for it which is a bonus just before Christmas - not much per hour but I'd only be at home on the 'puter if I wasn't doing that. Every little helps....

Had a training evening last week for new job, got another one this week. I quite enjoyed it.

Went to Mr T's vouchers at the ready to buy small toy for my great nephews and nieces (I keep it to about a fiver each) - don't buy for their parents, I stopped that as they left home but once they had their own children I buy a token something. Anyway there I was armed with jigsaws, books and cuddlies feeling very smug about my would-be savings for 6 children. In my excitement I didn't read the small print.............didn't exchange my coupons for the voucher to allow double spend on toys.....realised this on my way out as the bill was dearer than my rough estimation. I queried it straight away at customer services and was basically told 'tough' as I should have read the small print - which I do accept...... but it would have been helpful had the till girl gently reminded me as she saw the toys and the vouchers in my hand, that I actually had to change my vouchers for a different voucher ..............THAT'LL teach me to read things properly and not just skim the large print which I can see without searching out me specs!!!!! - didn't feel quite so smug afterwards LOL

I went to bank and cancelled my fixed saver that had run it's term. So Christmas is paid for this year year for the FIRST time EVER!! I am still way behind buying pressies as I don't know what to get for people.

Help Needed - what are the hair straightners called with initials I've heard people raving about....thinking of getting some for a pressie.

Been neglecting my swimming a bit of late as I really hate driving in ice. I did spend half an hour on my wii fit today though and forgot how much I laugh when I'm doing it. So I've set a target of losing 2lb in 2 weeks - not much but if I do that for 24 weeks I'll have lost the weight I need to lose. I might have more success if I do it in small achievable chunks. I'm starting now rather than putting off till after Christmas and not thinking of it as any sort of DIET which seems to be like putting the hoodoo on it!!!!
