    Thanks Taxi and everyone.

I'm really enjoying my new job now - I did have a couple of doubts but everything is slotting into place nicely now :)

I can't get over how relaxed I'm feeling - the new hours are definately better.

I have had a really sore mouth over this last week and it isn't getting any better so I called into the chemist who reccommended a visit to the doc - she suggested one of the drop in centres if I can't get in at my GP. I can't get into gp until mid week or call at 8 am in morning as an emergency (somehow it doesn't feel like an emergency!!) The chemist seems to think I may have some sort of infection - anyway I bought some mouthwash for gingivitis and fungal infection and if it doesn't get any better over the weekend I will go to a drop in centre. The one in my hometown closed this week so it will be a trip and I daresay a long wait in Manchester.

I went a bit mad in Morrisons - I'd only gone in for milk and crisps but spent £65 - a lot will be going away for Christmas though - they had some lovely pieces of beef but there is no room in the freezer at the moment!!!!

Going to a friends who is treating me to a take away tomorrow - DH is wondering how long my birthday will last LOL.

Planning a relaxed weekend and will just let it unravel and see what transpires. My favourite kind of weekend sometimes.

We were thinking of going out today because it was such a lovely day then I decided to do some cleaning instead - after I'd had a cuppa of course - so.......what did I end up doing??????????????

DH has a small garden railway which meanders between alpiney plants. Anyway there is a tunnel with a rockery over it - the plants were growing a bit too big and needed either splitting or moving to friends garden. It all started off with a general comment as I was supping me cuppa before starting work about redesigning the rockery (at no cost - just hard work!!) before I knew it the plants are all split into pots and the rockery and tunnel all dismantled with soil from rockery in buckets everywhere - then dh was taking track up all over the show. Now it has taken us virtually 5 years to get the garden as it is (was) and less than 5 hours to demolish it - garden now looks like a bombsite and we need to rebuild it again. I'm not sure what possessed us - it seemed like a good idea at the time. LOL LOL LOL

Not a slither of any housework got done today!! On the plus side I didn't spend any cash either :)

I look like I've been in the ring with Mohamed Ali too - I have a belting bruise just under my chin where it got knocked with a child's chin as we were having a daft 5 minutes dancing and I bit my tongue so it's sore to eat - my left shin still has a bruise (nearly 2 weeks now!!) virtually the full length of it and today I trapped my finger between the spade and a rock and have split it from my nail to my knuckle - ouch!!!! I washed it to within an inch of it's life and have it bandaged with copious amounts of savlon on it - I had a nasty experience where a very small cut which I did peeling veg became infected and needed surgery so any cut's near soil scare me after that. So it's throbbing very muchly and I have had to consume rose wine and choccy's - purely in a medicinal capacity of course :)

Here's hoping for another nice day tomorrow so I can put my garden back togather - presuming dh decides where to put the track - if he dallies too long I might have a suggestion or three!!!!!!

That song title from 10 cc 'the things we do for love' keeps popping into my head - as I look outside I've decided I really must be crackers!!!!!

Planned on rearranging everything today in the garden - the rain has bounced down all day so far!!

I have a pile of ironing to do too sooo WHY am I pooting about on here - 10 more minutes then I'll go into the kitchen put some stewing steak in the oven for tea and get on with it.

I am fairly pleased the way I've managed my cash so far this month. It is dd's birthday in a week or so and I have accounted for that too and the balance should stay in the red - I have to make it work as it was my decision to work fewer hours. This month should be the tester as there will be little bits of over tine to cover staff meetings in future wage packets. One thought though is the freezer was full for this month - but with careful planning and less wastage things should pan out ok.

Hope your weather isn't as wet as ours!!

OUR WEATHER HAS BEEN WET TOO.

I'm sure you'll manage this month and looking for special offers will help the freezer when needed.it's worth it for the extra time off and having a nicer place to work.

Yes I agree Taxi - my priorities have certainly changed over the last few years. I am lucky enough to have a managable amount of debt now and I definately value the shorter hours and less hassle of the last job.

The rain let off long enough for us to get out in the garden for an hour - we didn't get much done but we now HAVE A PLAN!! We will basically just change everything we have about and have a good idea where things are going - and then will re-paint the buildings and figures over the winter months. So a new look garden and many hours of entertainment for us painting everything for very little outlay :)

    TADA

    cooked tea
planned garden out thus spending time with dh
    tidied 1 shelf
    finished washing off
moved ironing into a neat pile waiting to be done :(

So I need to get a wriddle on and get the place ship shape for next weekend as dd and her oh are coming home for the weekend - good job I'm finishing work early and can catch up LOL

I had the idea of Friday evenings being my tidy night - got a better offer and went out to friends for rake away and drinkies - will do better next week lol lol lol

that was a better idea going out with friends...lol

Dh doesn't want me to return to work (if we don't need the money) as he'd like me to enjoy life and do nice things and be a kept woman...lol

I'm undecided but def won't go back full time but may do a couple of days

Taxi - I think that is a great idea - you certainly need to enjoy life a bit after the treatments and illness you have been through these last few months. I'd be tempted to play it by ear as you might find you need to work a day or so a week for your sanity if not for money reasons - but you have loads of time to to make those sorts of decisions - I suppose thats one advantage of being self employed.

    TADA

ironing has now been ironed but is waiting in a neat pile to be put away - might jump in by itself if I leave it long enough LOL
home made stewed steak, and veges for the last couple of evenings - very nice too
appointment made with neighbour to cut my hair on Friday (she IS a hairdresser BTW) - hope it's ok cos it'll save me £16 :)
    Polished and hoovered downstairs

SOooo.... I have caught up a bit and not feeling too guilty (as if!!!!) about my no housework weekend.

Spent £25 yesterday in Morrisons - need to start having a bit more self control in shop and stick to list NOT being tempted by Christmas offers!!!!!!!
