    Well done on the loss
  • 3 1/2 lbs - good stuff - quite a dent in the amount of weight you want to loose :T. Having a top that you want to wear is obviously brilliant motivation.

No voice at all today - a funny squeak comes out occasionally - so funny at work - kids keep whispering to me - bless!!!!!

Took lunch today and then a friend was going out to shop so like an idiot I went with her for a walk - but then - purely for medicinal purposes :) I bought a SMALL tub of Ben and Jerrys ice cream - £1.80 AAAARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH - must be mad - losing it BIG time. It didn't even help my throat much and was far too sweet after first couple of spoonfuls - WON'T be doing THAT again.

  • I hope your voice gets better soon - sounds rotten. Is it connected to a cold or hay fever or something like that?
Kids are very funny aren't they... I remember that DS2 used to always whisper into my eye, which used to be quite amusing unless I was asleep when he would peel my eyelid back to find my eye to whisper at  I think he thought that 'I' was 'in my eyes' and no amount of trying to explain would shift his ideas!

Voice is returning but not right yet - hope it's not going to my chest now - got a funny pain under ribs as I breathe. No cough or cold and don't feel too bad - more annoying than anything else!!!!!!

MIL rushed in hospital mid-week. I didn't go as don't want to take this virus or whatever it is to her - but DH was at hospital till gone 3am from 8pm waiting for them to decide what to do with her. Anyway they kept her in a few days did some tests - didn't find anything again and sent her home. This has happened several times over the last couple of years. She does really well for 87 but has finally decided to sell her house and go and live with SIL as she is getting scared of the 'funny turns' she keeps experiencing. Glad she is out of hospital now though and on the mend again.

Taken it fairly easy today - went out with dh for a ride and visit to train show then he treated me to dinner at very reasonable pub on way home. I only had jacket with cheese & beans - had it at about 3.30 - so acted as dinner and tea. Not sure how I'll have faired with the weight loss this week. I succumbed to chips and gravy (and a meat pie ) purely medicinal as I was starving but needed something easy to eat and soup was getting booorrrriiinnng. I have tried to make up for it with healthier choices - we'll see on Monday!!!!

Has anyone else had trouble getting on the site - for some reason it didn't recognose me at all and I have had to re-register....so I have been reading diaries but not been able to post fir a couple of days - took me that long to figure out what was wrong :o

    Have a good week end

Started off with very good intentions of doing the garden, washing and ironing today. Then I got distracted in Morrisons - I'd gone around for bread and milk - £45 later.... I came home. Put 1 lot of washing in then went out to start garden - it promptly persisted down from a great height!! sooo... I came in did dinner - roast pork, and all the trimmings. I've had it in since before Christmas when it was on offer somewhere - it was gorgeous....... so were the roast potatoes and crackling. UMMMMM - not too sure how the weightloss tomorrow will be. But I had it as a late lunch early tea with no pudding as such - a couple of ginger nuts to help my cuppa down.

I decided to buy a some things I knew I was running out of in a hope that from now until we go away at the end of May - I can use up what I have in and just buy fresh stuff as and when it's needed. Then have a big cook-in when I come back from Cornwall. It seems to work quite well doing my cooking this way now there are just the two of us.

I'm very excited - just had a phone call from dd asking if we've got any plans or if its ok if she comes home for the weekend next weekend - but only if someone can pick her up from train and carry her bag cos she still has trouble carrying stuff - we'll be fighting to get to the station to see her first!! Roll on Friday -she's going home again Sunday then can rest before going back to work on Tuesday. It's been so long since I've seen her and hated being so far away whilst she's been recovering. I can't wait and don't care if we only sit and chill all weekend together.
