Been totally thrown today at work - kept thinking it was Monday as it was our 1st day back!! Pity it's not a 3 day week with 5 day pay every week.January spends - £587.580

I normally work 3 days a week but have been totally thrown by working extra at the moment... funny how you get used to certain patterns and then get thrown by having extra work or extra weekend isn't it.
You're back to normal this week though!

Everything is fine thanks Taxi - just been really busy.
I baked loads for dh's train day - I really quite enjoyed the entertaining and the get together and the SUN SHONE on and off all day and it didn't rain!!!! It was suggested the sun shines on the righteous - others suggested the devil looks after his own - not sure which to believe LOL. We had some lovely compliments so will certainly do it again. It cost a fair bit though - but nothing was wasted - all spare cakes are duly portioned and in freezer and we have been eating sandwiches from it for lunches since - just a few cheese ones left now which will be toasted tomorrow to finish them off. But we have had many lunches out at others garden days so it's swings and roundabouts I suppose.
My car insurance was due today so all in all it has been an expensive week.
It's 3 weeks until we go to Cornwall so will be doing a storecupboard challenge to empty the freezer before we go - then do a mega shop when we get home. Hope the weather picks up but not too soon as it will never last.
Off to do some catching up now.
