Will try the top for holiday but not expecting to wear it really - I'll enjoy the Cornish Pasties and ice creams whilst away. I actually feel better than I have in a long time - I think the new medication regime I started in the new year for my digestion and now the HRT too are really kicking in - but I'm enjoying food more than I have at any time in the last 4 years - I'm not going to be too harsh on myself, but will enjoy the holiday and then re-evaluate again when I get back.

Going to the summer fair tomorrow morning - I still feel mad as friend was hauled into office to 'big boss' this time - she is so annoyed and I am on her behalf too - I will be gutted if she leaves as she is threatening - trouble is there aren't a lot of jobs going at the moment. Work will be losing one of their best workers for the sake of a couple of hours on a stall if she does - I wonder about the wisdom of the management sometimes. I can't fault what we do for the kids but the people management of the bosses leave a lot to be desired. If only they realised it is better to rule with a carrot than an iron rod LOL - but what do I know - LOL - I'm just a meer dogsbody LOL!!!!!!!!!

Will meet DS later tomorrow - not been out with him for ages so looking forward to that.

Hope this lovely weather doesn't burn itself out before next weekend and beyond.

    Enjoy the sunshine

    Hope you've had a great day x
  • It was lovely weather here yesterday so just right for a summer fair, hope yours went ok. I wonder if the management will realise just how daft it was to upset such a good worker over something so needlessly.

I've been looking at the weather for next weekend (as we're camping) and it looks like it is going to stay warm and dry through the week, although if its right it might freeze on Friday night so I'm not sure about my poor little plants. It makes it difficult packing for a holiday if its mixed so hopefully the weather will sort itself out this week and it will be a bit clearer when you start putting things in bags.

Had a busy few days here. I suppose I should have been getting on top of ironing and the like at weekend in readiness for going away next week, but the sun shone and we headed near Blackpool. We must have walked about 7 miles along the coastal path from Lytham to St Annes and back, had a lovely day generally pottering and people watching on beach and round and about.

Then on Monday after work I went into Manchester on bus from work - had a VERY NON-MSE trip and spent over £75 in Primarni - OUCH - got a lot for my money though. I even bought 2 skirts - I never usually wear skirts but saw a couple of linen ones at £6 and £8 each - 5 pairs of summer weight half mast trousers (what's the official term for these LOL) - I'm only 5ft and have never fancied these before, but it was so hot I needed something cooler. A couple of pairs of canvas shoes and white linen trousers too - these all need turning up - but for the prices I paid don't mind that too much. And then after buying lots of lighter weight, cooler clothes THE WEATHER IS FREEZING AGAIN - it's that bloomin' sdds law again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got dh some tee shirts too.

When I arrived home a friend from school had turned up with a botle of wine - had to share it with her - it would have been RUDE not to LOL

Last night I was so tired last night I was in bed fast asleep before 9pm.

We had an ugly bug ball today for kids at work - so at 7.30 this morning I was putting black spots on a red tee-shirt to make a ladybird costume for myself. Had a great day with the children though.

I had an appointment at docs at 8.30 before work and had to laugh as GP giving me the once over to see if HRT is having any ill effects - was very concerned in case it is causing weight gain - I think it's more to do with the amount I'm stuffing my face with - just can't stop eating since I started a new treatment to regulate my digestive system last December - and then there's cake every other day at work. Anyway as doc weighed me today and I have to go back in 3 months - I have an incentive to watch what I eat a bit more - I think she is looking for any excuse to take me off HRT the consultant put me on. So as I've said before I'll enjoy my holiday and then really watch what I'm eating and if doc is weighing me it might make me tow the line a bit more. LOL LOL

    Take care everyone

The bug ball sounds fun... Sounds like you have a lovely shopping trip and got lots of bargains.... I have been buying clothes again recently.... prompted by the weather and my birthday I think. I did take £114 worth back to M&S but only really because MIL can get a discount and I am planning a return trip LOL

Yep - holidays are upon us - will do last bit of washing and ironing tomorrow and then a quick blitz of the house. As soon as we're up on Sunday morning we'll set off early (we tend to wake up as it goes light) hopefully will miss traffic as it'll all travel on Saturday. We tend to use the travelling as part of the holiday and stop off somewhere en route for a leisurely lunch and nosey to break the journey. We'll get to campsite where the caravan will be waiting - dh puts up awning as I sort inside and then it's off to Peranporth for pasties for tea.

Take care everyone - especially you Taxi!!!!
