I have been a bit busy doing the books this week - I do quite enjoy doing them but it is surprising how much time they take - we get a day allocated now for our time - until a few years ago we didn't get that. But it works out 7.5 hours - about 40 minutes a book. I have spent every evening this week, at least 1 full day earlier in the year plus several full evenings. It is a good feeling handing the books over to the parents on parents evening of the last week though - but don't think bosses realise just how much time they take.
Had a funny old weekend - dd came home it was great to see her looking more like her old self - her hair is beginning to grow back - lots of short tufts now which she disguises by scraping back. But it is growing again and she is eating and looking well. Had Dh's family over yesterday - MIL is 88 next week so we had an early birthday do for her. Made lots of food so fridge is full for us to use up over the week - lasagne, hot pot and chilli - so no problem cooking after work. MIL was pleased to see dd - not seen her since before she was in hospital in January as neither were fit to travel to each other.
Today we went to Leeds to my great nephews Christening - dd, ds and dh came too. It was lovely but a few mixed emotions thrown in - I was the only one from my generation there - the rest have either popped their clogs or too sick to attend such events. At 51 I feel way too young for this LOL. It got to me a bit as I thought of my brother (baby's grandad) who should have been with us but had a fatal heart attack at 50, his wife never got over the shock and started with Alzeimers within a year of his passing - she was in her late 40's at the time. That was about 10 years ago and now in advanced stages. My sister suffered the same fate as my brother when she was 46 and my remaining brother is waiting for a knee replacement and stomach surgery - what a bloomin' family LOL. Hence me on me todd - had a big cuddle with baby though and it was good for my dd and ds to be with us as it is often just me and dh. Funny how some days things just get you when most of the time we are happy to plod along with our lot.
Not too sure how I've done weight wise - blown it again this weekend. AND i'm at another Christening next week. Will have to get my posteria into gear and give myself a good talking too
I did wear the nice top I bought for my holidays and white trousers though - a bit tight but not too obscene!!
Got reports to do and a couple of assignments to do so another busy week this week. Roll on end of July when we break up.

Sounds like you had a lovely time with family and nothing can beat that...can understand the mixed emotions for the family that weren't there.
The childrens and parents faces must be a picture when given the scrap books...0 -
Had a busy few days - I've applied for a new job. I hate application forms!!!! It is at a school working in a unit for autistic children. Don't know if I'm in with a chance - I know there are over 50 applicants to date and the closing date isn't until tomorrow. Nothing ventured nothing gained - I've still got my job if nothing comes of it. Fingers and everthing else crossed too. Not sure what the money will work out like - yearly it looks more than I'm on now but it is pro rata and less hours than I'm doing at the moment - hopefully it should work out similar. There's a staff room too - how exciting is that LOL (we have no staff room and have to sit in children's chairs at dinnertime)
I haven't done too well with weightwatchers as I've been in a bit of a quandry about whether to go for the job and then when to tell the boss - went through several pieces of cake and bags of crisps whilst filling in forms too.
Ah well - should hear by the end of next week if I am going to hear.
Went for a drink with my friend from work tonight as I wanted to tell her I'd applied (we have worked together for 7 years and are friends out of work too) and work have a strange idea that we shouldn't tell people if we are going for a job as it might unsettle the workforce - I refuse to be told who I can tell about things concerning me, it makes me so mad - we are adults for goodness sake - people come and go from jobs!!!!! We walked into the pub and who should be there but the chair of our trustees LOL - anyway he bought us a drink which was very MSE then we made our excuses and sat by ourselves!!!!!!

Gaah indeed Beanie.
Spent another virtually full day doing books and reports for work. All done now and ready for hand over to parents on Wednesday evening. Here's hoping this will be the last year - I will miss my friends there though.
Must get cracking with assignments that need doing for 22nd now I've done work stuff.
Going to another Christening tomorrow and then will have to go and see mil who will be 88 tomorrow - 3 busy weekends in a row and not MSE at all as lots of presents to buy. I NEED a cheap and lazy weekend next weekend.January spends - £587.580 -
