Kept to my ww points today - funnily I haven't lost my appetite even though I feel grot.
I am really trying not to spend until payday - I used my reward card A LOT on holiday and the bill will be hefty - (I have gone into denial mode and not checked my on line totals) I'll aim to pay it off on 28th which is payday then won't get charged interest and same again next month - my dental bill and car insurance is also on it. I have hardly used my debit card this month so am hopeful I can do it, it will be a tightish month next month too. I don't believe I've just written that - I'm slipping back into old ways - I WILL check tomorrow so I know where I'm going with it all and face totals!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm still on target to pay my old cc in September which is now on 0% and I'm paying into an ISA to settle it in full before that. The idea of the new reward card was to pay it off every month - which I have managed to do but feel as if I'm spending in arrears IYKWIM - always on catch up- mmmm - food for thought I think!!
Off to bed

Hi Milann
It sounds like you had a lovely time in Cornwall, and a bit of MSE buying of plants at a car boot too!
The staff must be quite buzzy with the 'outstanding' Ofsted - reports like that are not easy to come by so no wonder the head is so chuffed.
I hope you got your crown sorted and you're feeling better?

I'm feeling much better now - went back to work on Wednesday - had an assessor in for the course I'm doing - a bit of a grueller as I still didn't feel 100%. I was quite surprised when I came onto my diary - I thought I'd waffled about it and it wasn't there....... it is either in cyberspace OR I've waffled on someone elses diary instead of on here - apologies if it's on yours LOL.
I'm finding the weightwatchers surprisingly easy - funny how sometimes I can just get my head in the right place to cut down others I struggle like heck!! HA - I'll have jinxed myself now it'll be a struggle now I've been bragging.
Got a busy Friday and Saturday making cakes for a friends party - in a moment of madness I offered to make them as a present - trouble is I have no idea how many for yet as she has gone away for a few days and didn't tell me total before she went - LOL - hope it's not hundreds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wonder if I'll manage to keep within my ww points at weekend - now that will test me.

hi milann - glad you had a good time in Cornwall, well done on the Ofsted report and the weightloss - and I can so relate on the overspending have been doing a fair bit of that myself. Hope it will start to correct itself from next month tho when our mortgage rate drops. That should help us kickstart our finances back into shapeAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks for your good wishes everyone - I'm fighting fit again now buuuuttttt.....
went to a friends silver wedding do last night - I think I only had 1 glass of wine - but it was a BIG glass and it never emptied - kept getting topped up and I kept drinking it - it would have been RUDE not to LOL. I didn't have a hangover though - I am aware how this particular friend has a tendancy towards over indulgance in the wine dept (I have willingly fallen at her hands many times previously) - purely in the name of celebration of courseWe didn't get in till 1 am and with the heat of the night I must have only had about 3 hours disturbed sleep.
My weightwatchers went completely out of the window though - I'd baked all day for the event and picked and tasted along the way. Then I had a few bits from the buffet (non of it low calorie) and the vino and it all added up. In my defence (excuse!!!) she is my oldest friend - we went to primary school together and have been through many events together - not all of them worthy of celebration - so when a celebration comes along - WE CELEBRATE it LOL
Today I had intentions of a long walk to offset the points - but with the heat around here, it never happened. I have stayed within my points for today - will see what the scales say tomorrow.
Payday tomorrow and I have decided to pay my reward card off (had contemplated only paying half of it) that is £950 and will leave me a VERY tight budget for next month - but I vowed I'd pay it each month and don't want to start going down the slippery slope of letting it slide to the next month. There are some expensive items on it - £195 for dentist - £300 for car insurance plus spends in Cornwall. Next month will be fairly expensive too but nowhere near as bad. I will be so glad to get my loan paid which will free up £200 a month but that's not until next May when it's due to finish. I had high hopes of paying it earlier but realistically if I want a few pleasures in life that aint gonna happen. Original 0% cc's are on target to be paid by September though as I'm saving for them in an ISA.
Went looking at caravans today as ours is 20 years old and we could really do with a different layout now there are no kids coming with us - they were either really tatty rubbishy ones and I'd rather keep ours or silly money of nearly 10 grand for a small 2nd hand one - a new one of the layout we want is 'only' 12 grand - I NEED a lottery win or a sugar daddy or something. Ah well - if that's my biggest worry in life - life can't be too bad LOL LOL. Think I'll just keep half an eye out for now and keep ours. Probably as well we didn't see one as there's no cash in the pot yet.

No worries about busting your points at least you won't be doing it every week and celebrations are good x0

I'm quite pleased as I actually managed to go for a swim after work. It's the 1st time I've been for months and I did half an hour - I was a bit rusty and slow but had forgotten how relaxing it is after work. I spent about 15 minutes in the jaccuzzi too and let the bubbles burst the stresses of the day away.
My weight stayed the same on Monday but I've managed to get right back into the swing of weiightwatchers after my blip on Sunday.
Got to go and do some books for the children at work - a bit like a scrapbook of their time spent with us. They take forever, but it is a lovely keepsake fot the children.
Right enough of the procrastination for today. Off to get stuck in.
