Had a bit of a shock when I saw dd - I'd forgotten how much weight she had lost - although she has put a fair bit on she is still underweight and has very little energy - she is still having to watch how she carries things and what she lifts too. I think her main worry at the mo is her hair is dropping out in big handfuls - this happened to me after a few months after the surgery I had but no where near as bad as dd. She'd told me over the phone it had happened but I got a shock when I saw it. She says it is beginning to grow back with new baby hair and a few longer strands covering it - if she ties it up carefully and wears a broad band it looks passable but when she let it down I was shocked. It was quite sad to see as it was her crowning glory - but it should grow back again - I'm hoping so anyway!!

I NEED London moving nearer to the North West so I can keep a closer eye on her LOL - I know she is a grown woman now but she has looked after me so many times I feel I should be there more often for her - just have to make the most of the time we do get together - could be a further away than London I know but it is frustrating!

Paella was delish - although I pick out the mussels yuk yuk yuk.

I enjoyed Avatar too - wasn't sure as I'm not a great fan of science fiction - bet it was good in 3d at flicks.

    Off to bed now.

    Night night

HI sorry to hear about your DD's hair falling out. That happened to a friend's little girl and zinc supplements helped her... perhaps something she could try?

Yeah - dd will get there - trouble is she forgets just how poorly she was and the recovery isn't fast enough for her (or me - it's torture watching) but I have no doubt she will get there again in time :)

Just settled down to watch the box and had laptop on my knee for a peaceful evening and some friends turned up - it was nice to see them really - I was just ready for a bit of switch off time IYKWIM - I'll have to watch I don't turn anti-social LOL. They have just gone and I'm off to beddy-bies now.

    Night all

Had a lovely day pottering in garden but NOT very MSE - crafts and gardening products are my downfalls - and I ended up buying some bedding plants from Morrisons and Homebase then we went to the garden centre for a bag of stones and I ended up spending another £26 on some solar powered fairly lights - now SURELY they can be classed as an essential - not :o. This rail day will have cost me a fortune by the time it comes around next week. I will have to try and re-coup spends elsewhere - not sure where yet but will do some number crunching.

I knew I shouldn't have gone out because I was feeling a bit fed up after dd going back - a real comfort spend. It has made dh happy though because I'm taking an interest in his train set project - he is quite excited wondering if they'll work tonight since we didn't put them out till about 2pm - ah well - another one down to experience :(

At least the dentist bill has been put off another month - dentist phoned on Friday and cancelled my appointment next Wednesday as technician won't have the crown ready by then - so next early morning appointment (work prefer us to do early morning if we have to have time out!!) - is 25th May which wont go through till after payday on 28th.

Dh decided to make tea whilst I pottered - I'd suggested jackets and filling of some sort - he thought he's surprise me with home made cheese and onion pie and chips - at this rate I'll never fit into my new top on holiday :p It was rather good though - so I need to re-coup some calories too this week. I stayed the same last week again - 4lb lost in 3 weeks better than 4 on but not spectacular by any standards!!!

We're off work tomorrow too - pity I'll be spending it at a gynae appointment :rotfl: - this gal sure knows how to spend her days off work :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Enjoy your Bank Holiday everyone.

I am glad that you had a good weekend with the family.....and spending a bit of money on the garden as a pick me up at the end of it all sounds just perfect to me :T

Was discharged today from hospital - has been a long time since I've not been under any department!!

After discussion about pros and cons including the risk factors - I decided to keep on with the HRT - in my case there are more pros than cons at the mo. He said I might get some resistance from my GP and if I do get in touch with his secretary and he will re-instate me. I know it's not everyones answer to things but it's made a big difference to me. So I feel pretty positive with everything healthwise for the first time in a long time.

I had planned going into Manchester for a mooch around Primarni after the appointment but after my spends at the garden centre yesterday decided I'd better stay at home!! I'd have bought something and had a coffee and passed a craft shop so I was a good girl and must have re-couped some of the spends pity about the crisps I scoffed whilst ironing................. but it was a NSD.
