Did some tidying and ironing but nothing too serious :) - then friends called by unexpectedly which was lovely - so a good time had by all. Friends are coming back on Thursday for lunch - fellas have planned a 'train' project to do whilst us ladies will lunch and just sit and put the world to rights - just need to order some dry weather so we can throw men out in garden out of way.

Not much organised for tomorrow - just let the day unfold I think. I could certainly get used to this lazy life.

Must pay cc on line tomorrow but that's about it MSE. Had a couple of NSD's this weekend so am quite happy with that.

CBM - I am saving the designer/having it made for a special occasion - we have already talked about it - trouble is the distance involved between myself dd and her friends that would be willing to do this. I keep hoping that I might need a special 'frock' for a wedding or Christening but could be in for a very, very long wait LOL LOL LOL

Managed to get out to a local National Trust house - had a mini tour of below stairs tour guide was very entertaining. Had a shared sandwich and scone in cafe then even managed a walk around deer park in a bit of sunshine - got furthest point from car though then wind got up and it went black - did a quick about turn back - got a bit wet but nothing too bad.

Rain set in big time so went for a nosey round gerden centre where the roof was springing leaks everywhere. Bought some rhubarb - not sure what it'll be like cos it is a crown - pre-packed for £1.99 but was shooting so lookks ok(ish) - rhubarb that was growing in pots was £8.99 so think I'll take my chance. I'll be growing it in a big tub - haven't done this before but since garden has been taken over by dh's train track.

  • Glad you had a nice day out. Rhubarb for £1.99 sounds like a bargain - I didn't realise it grew ok in pots; you'll have to let us know how it goes.

CBM - I'm not sure if rhubarb will grow in a pot either - that's why I only wanted a £1.99 and not a £8.99 one to play about with - thinking about it it should be ok if I keep it watered as it doesn't have a very deep rooting system as crown stays near surface (that's my theory anyway!!!!) I'll put it in one of my ex Morrison flower buckets and fingers crossed LOL - wish it would stop raining and warm up a degree or two - why is it ALWAYS like this when I get time off with dh.

The weather is awful here too - raining and cold. Could be worse - we could have the snow the Scots are having.... Really sad about that coach crash....
