    Hi everyone

Sorry I've not been around for a while - I've been a bit busy - had a parents evening at work and had a lot to do in prep - serves me right for letting things slip!!!

Then I had a sore throat from hell - no voice and my get up and go got up and went.

Had the results from the biopsies and all was ok - thank goodness - silly doc put the fear of God in me a couple of weeks ago - telling me with the symptoms I was exhibiting coupled with the scan readings he already had, that it was highly probable that it would show cancer or at least pre-cancerous cells. Luckily it was niether just a hormonal imbalance. I thought he was cushioning me for something and never want to go through a time like that again. I can cope with things when they happen and I know just what I'm dealing with but am no good when I'm left pondering an outcome. Why on earth he said what he did and not just that they would be testing for cancer I'll never know - I knew they tested as routine - I'm convinced they tell us too much before they know for sure what's up. At least there are these clever docs to deal with things when they do happen - but sometimes they need to think before they tell us too much.

So I have started HRT. Not the best week to start it cos of the bad throat and feeling generally grotty - so not sure if it's viral symptoms or side effects to the HRT I'm feeling - things can only get better. I believe it can take a couple of weeks to feel the benefits - watch this space LOL.

On the countdown to breaking up for Easter - roll on Friday.

But before that I've got an assessor from the course I'm doing coming to work on Wednesday to see how I work and on Tuesday am going for my yearly appraisal with my boss - could be an interesting week LOL LOL LOL.

Off to catch up on some diaries - MSE has been ok - not fantastic but ok, it has taken a bit of a back seat whilst I've been dealing with other bits of life, but I haven't gone too mad either - ticking along nicely, I suppose.

  • Just to echo what the others said. Glad the test results were ok, and hope all goes well with your appraisal today, and perhaps you will be able to reach a good conclusion to the meetings at lunchtime issue, and things get better after it.

I'm shattered - been a bit of a roller coaster one way or another the last few months - here's to boring times - but not too boring cos I'm ready for some fun things to happen :)

Appraisal went well and talked through some of the things like lunch breaks that have been bugging me - hopefully should be a lot better from next September with a few changes in place. Afraid it will be last chance salloon for it though - basically cos I love the job have put up with lots of !!!!py stuff but if the conditions promised don't appear - I will definately look seriously for something else. I've threatened it many times before but I'm not going to put my health at risk anymore and will look for something less physical.

Assessment was a bit of a doddle - they just watched me doing what I do and I ticked all the boxes and quite a few more too.

Two sleeps till 2 weeks off YAY - not that I'd count such a thing!!!
