Cornwall at the end of May can be really nice - although take care driving through Somerset as we'll be at scout camp so there is bound to be localised rain/wind/flood.....:D
I'm glad the medical stuff is less iminent and you get a breather from it all.
CbmJan 08: Debt £15,211  Debt cleared April 30th 2010Proud to have dealt with my debt! Currently building up savings.:TWith enormous thanks to everyone on the forums and:money:0 -
Stayed off work to day - I was sicky again last night but actually feel ok. I'm wondering if it's a bit of stress relief or something - or maybe just the bug that is going around work and I've only got a mild dose.
Well - 3rd time lucky - this CAN'T be another false start of me organising my life for the new decade - I've got my positive head on again for the 3rd time this year :T:T:T - knowing me I'm probably just tempting fate to throw soemthing at me to cope with again - but a girls got to keep trying:p:p
Sooo...
I've got the divided diary I bought just before dd went into hospital and am going to log my spending, exercise and eating habits. and have already started filling it in. If nothing else this last week has got me focussed on looking after myself a little more - I had slipped into my old bad habits again
I've counted and marked back on the callendar from my holiday in Cornwall - it's 85 days and I'll put a pound and any loose change each day into George my pottery cat moneybox from Cornwall and cross it off as I do so - hopefully I'll manage to acquire £100 by then - I did this last year and packed into small money bags and then carried one with me for coffees, ice cream and pasties. It felt good not to keep breaking into 'notes' - the small things do help
I am going to menu plan and do a big shop this weekend and use the saving stamps I didn't use at Christmas to fund this. Hopefully by the end of this month I'll be back on track after the unexpected spends of going to see dd over tha last couple of months.
I am really pleased that I didn't have to break into the £200 ISA like I thought I'd have to do last month - scraped in by my fingernails.
Once again thanks to you guys for keeping me going this last couple of months:A

CBM - don't worry about the rain at scout camp getting us - I'm convinced we have our own little cloud that follows us wherever we go LOL. Had some pretty good weather last year though.
Have gone down to same site in Truro for years now. We keep our van (van now over 20 years old) down there and look at the sky each outing to see which coast looks sunniest then plan our day from there!!
Haven't done as much as I wanted today - I'm really washed out but have pottered and done bits in between rests. Off to do a big shop when dh comes in - better go and organise myself LOL

that's a good idea about putting the money in the pig and great to having a holiday.
Take it easy if you are still washed out.0 -
Have had a very productive day today in the kitchen. I have made
chicken and fennel casserole,
chicken and mushroom pie,
chicken and veg pie,
chicken soup
pork casserole,
meat and potato pies
all for the freezer. I will make moussaka and do some baking tomorrow. A very satisfying weekend - trouble is now I'll eat it all - but at least I know what has gone into it and it's very MSE.
Spent over £134 (£110 was vouchers) in Morrisons last night - but I've packed everything individually and it should last me a good while - I should only have to top up with fresh stuff for quite a while now.
My heart missed a beat this morning - I had a letter from the hospital on the doormat - I thought they'd brought my appointment forward when I saw it - NOT A GOOD MOMENT!!!!!!! - anyway it was 'just' a letter from the consultant saying everything looked fine just waiting for the results of the biopsies to back it up, and he'd written to my GP - if only he could have told me that last week - he'd have saved me a lot of worry instead of telling me to expect the worse of the options he said my symptoms might be - then saying absolutely nothing after he'd put his camera where it needed to go. I'll laugh at this one day soon - I'm beginning to loose the panic mode and see the funny side of this last week already!!!!!!!!!!!

yeah - I enjoy cookery - I actually trained at catering college many many moons ago. I used to work as diet cook at a local hospital where I met my dh. I even know what to cook and how to cook for various diets - if only I could stick to it LOL. Novelty wore off cooking at work, then at home though so I re-trained. I still find cooking very relaxing though when I have the time to mess about.January spends - £587.580
