Another vote for Feb being harder than January - and there doesn't seem to be much in the way of warmer weather yet either. Have you still got snow - thankfully we haven't got any here, it tried last week but didn't settle.

Had tests done yesterday - doc was lovely - he decided on different course of treatment to what gp had suggested. Took biopsies to rule out anything more sinister than hormonal imbalances - so just waiting to see what comes from them before I can start replacement treatment. I'm a bit sore today as was numbed yesterday but a tiny bit 'ouch' when it stopped working. He warned that depending on the results might have to be more surgery but we agreed only as a last resort. I'm not too worried as all the symptoms are heading to hormonal troubles - I'm sure if it was anything more I would be losing weight and I'm certainly not doing that LOL.
Payday yesterday - which I was very grateful for. I haven't done finances for this month yet as I've been hiding my head in the sand the last week or so of last month. Soooo - I need to get organised LOL

I have had a really lazy day today - have been a bit sore after yesterday so followed advice to rest. I'm glad it was a Saturday as I don't think I'd have managed lifting at work.
I have been considering the treatment the doc advised yesterday - I have been weighing up the pros and cons on the t'internet - I think I'm more confused than ever - too much info bamboozles me but I feel I HAVE to read it. I've argued with myself and told myself the articles on here are often biased and that the doc has weighed up my family and my own personal medical needs to come to the decision he has made. It makes sense to me even though it is different to what my gp told me to expect one minute - then I think of the side effects thant can affect some people. AAARRRRGGGGHHHH - why can't life be simple???????? (need shrugging shoulder icons - and lots of them!!)

Glad to see you rested.
I also have to be careful what medicines I take as I always have very bad reactions.
So I can totally understand where you're coming from ....you'll just have to weigh up the pros and cons along with the advice from the Dr and how comfortable you feel.0 -
The information on the internet is a bit of a mixed blessing at times isn't it. I've found the amount of information sometimes overwhelming, and then find it hard to trust the medics (I'm thinking about DS and his eventual diagnosis). What is brilliant though is the online support, which I wouldn't be without. One idea may be to work out what will suit you best with the information you have about the alternatives (easier said than done I know), but then tap into the online support as much as you need. We don't know you, your circumstances etc - but will give you as much support as possible with what you choose to do.

How old was ds when he was diognosed CBM?
I will feel a lot happier when I know the results of the tests - they are very clever what they can do now though. Not so long ago I would have been admitted and had to go to theatre and knocked out for these tests - instead I watched on screen as doc moved camera inside me and took samples and biopsies there and then - amazing when I think about it - what isn't so amazing is the way I reacted - thinking of the old film where the miniature submarine travelled around inside someone. What I should have been doing was asking meaningful questions instead of burying my head in the sand to the things the doc had told me in the consultation just beforehand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't done much on MSE front - but at least I haven't been comfort spending like I would have previously done.January spends - £587.580 -
well done on the not comfort spending.
It sounds like the tests were at least not too invasive.... Hope the results are good for youAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
