Glad DD is is recovering. It's bound to take time at a guess at least 6-12 weeks as it was major stomach surgery.0
-
Yeah Taxi - will take her some time and although she has seen me and others after surgery it is a shock when it happens to you - I think cos she is a fair bit younger than I was she expected a much quicker recovery - but I'm pleased with her progress - I was still in hospital at the same stage as this - so she is doing ok. It is hard not keep comparing her to me, but I am managing not to compare when talking to her. Can't wait for a week on Wednesday when I go to see her again.
Flippin computer keeps having a wobble and telling me I'm out of virtual memory - dh has had a look and shuffled things about but says I need a new hard-drive. Sounds pricey. I'm a bit addicted to scrabble and farmville on facebook. Anyone need a neighbour???? Not sure what I'll do if I don't get my farmy fix each day LOL LOL - might have to get a new hard drive nor shock horror a new laptop (this is ds and then dh's cast off) - luckily dh works in computer shop so should be able to sort something for me.
Never managed a NSD today but only spent £3.50 on Polish bread and massive jar of peppers from continental shop. Peppers make a delish and cheap sauce when a few are blended with a can of tomatoes, onion and garlic and then cooked and poured over pasta with a bit of cheese over the top. Bread is gorgeous - made a pan of spag bol tonight and mopped up the sauce with bread - got enough to freeze for another couple of meals for the two of us. Will freeze leftover bread in chunks too - a good spend me thinks LOL
Had a good day - kept on top of tidying/washing and ironing - even did windows inside and got dh to do downstairs outside too - I was beginning to regret cancelling window cleaner as I can't reach properly. Dh has been going to put a light outside near side door since we had extension done 3 years ago and the door was moved - he did it today - YAY - now I can see where I'm going and won't fall down steps - it's a halogen and sensor so only comes on for a few minutes when people pass it so should be cheaper than me leaving kitchen light on.
I've had my spag bol and a glass or 3 of vino, tended to my farm - just want to check a couple of diaries then I'm off for an early night as I'm whacked.
Night all

Another recipe to try... mmmm yummy.
:T for your OH for sorting out light, and yay for not falling down stairs!
My OH has finally made the spice racks to go up in the kitchen that he's been promising since November. They are really good but have found that Sainsbury's spices (of which most of ours are) are a smidgeon smaller than Schwartz and Tesco (we've got just a few of them), and really only Sainsbury's fit properly. So fingers crossed Sainsburys don't stop doing them or change their jars :rotfl:.
CbmJan 08: Debt £15,211  Debt cleared April 30th 2010Proud to have dealt with my debt! Currently building up savings.:TWith enormous thanks to everyone on the forums and:money:0 -
Here's hoping Sainsbury's don't change then or all dh's hard work will go to waste. I was only saying to my dh last week I could do with some spice containers inside my cupboard doors - I keep them in an old ice cream box in cupboard and have to empty it each time I want something cos the spice I want is always the last one out !!!!!
I'm so tired today - and I had such a lazy weekend I really don't know why.
Just had more bolognaise and a glass of wine - so easy to heat up on a work night.
Nuther NSD 8/10 - I looked at my bank statements last night - and if I'm REALLY careful might make the month without transferring the £200 I've saved since last October from my ISA to current account. This is being saved for my 0% card but I thought I'd have to use it this month. Depends how much I spend at my dd's when I go in half term though - tough but 'might' be doable. If I can do this month with forgotten MOT, ds birthday and Christmas cc bill I'll be laughing. So far so good - but still 20 days till payday - actually...... only 18 days cos 28th a weekend I think.
You are so right Taxi - not having a life cheap but getting a tad boring now. Roll on debt free days then I can live again LOL LOL LOL
