Thanks everyone - thats what I was thinking.
NSD today 4 this pay month so far - so happy about that - NOT happy about more snow - will be SERIOUSLY unhappy if it freezes tonight - roll on summer!!
It took me an hour today to get to work - it's usually a 10ish minute journey - horrendous traffic and that was before we had snow!!

You've done so well coming down from £20K to £6ish in just 3 years!!!! Have you got a tentative date in your mind for becoming debt free?
I hope your snow didn't turn really nasty overnight, its just grey and wet here - which makes me want to hibernate!
Cheers

Hi Milann just caught up with your diary. Just wanted to echo the advice re tax. I worked for the revenue for the best part of 20yrs and I know they will give you all the info you need. Either phone or try to call at your nearest enquiry office they have loads of literature too. Dont pay for free advice. Glad all is ok with you and glad dd is now on the mend. hugsVisa £[STRIKE]5063 [/STRIKE]now 0. Loan 1 €[STRIKE]4885[/STRIKE] now 0. Hi - traffic more or less back to normal for the journeys to work - heard on the radio that there had been a problem at train station in Manchester (about 5 miles from here) so many cancelled trains - and there had been a motorway pile up of some sort about 10 miles from here so must have been a knock on effect to local roads - but most people including boss were late so couldn't give too much grief LOL
Good to see you Turfy - I have decided to look into the tax during half term when I have some time - might not get anything but worth a go I suppose. Thanks to everyone for the advice.
I have managed another NSD - that's 6 this pay month. I'm quite chuffed with that as it is 6/7 days.
I haven't set a date to become debt free - but hoping it will be this year. I feel as if I'm tempting fate a bit by setting a date - old habits die hard and all that. If I plan or set a date - something usually goes drastically wrong - I like a bit of leeway in life and can be pleasantly surprised if things come to fruition earlier than I hope for. Not really pessimistic just a realist with high hopes LOL.
Not got much planned for weekend - will tidy, wash and iron at some point and take the other day as it comes, depending on the weather and my mood. I quite like weekends like this.
I have borrowed the dvd Twilight from a friend and will watch that at some point - read the books which I enjoyed although something totally different from what I usually read.
Have a good weekend everyone.

Totally understand about not setting a date.I won't either as you never know what is around the corner. The only thing we can do is follow our plans to the best of our ability and hope nothing gets in the way and if it does then we just have to re-adjust.
Have a good weekend.0 -
DD is doing ok - it is taking her longer than she hoped to do things and she is still weak, but eating ok(ish) and doing a little more each day. I think she has been shocked how many things - like lifting the kettle - involve tummy muscles. But I know she will get there - she has a good network of friends and her oh is doing a stirling job - just wish I was a bit closer. I will be going down for a few days over half term - must get my ticket booked this weekend.
I'm really tired but settled here and don't really want to move to go up to bed - how LAZY is that LOL
That's my thinking to a tee Taxi - had so many disapointments when I have made mega life plans - through unavoidable parts of 'life' that happens beyond any of my control - I tend not to plan too much at all these days - take life as it comes and am often pleasantly surprised.
