Things are a lot better at work - partly because I think everyone is being extra nice to me because they know I was in a bit of a state about my dd - I worked there when I was ill - and scared them all a bit LOL (I can laugh now!!) so they realise what an impact this has had on me. I never had any complaints about the individuals as people - just some of the policies. One meeting a week has been knocked on the head and we are having mini talks each day in it's place - this is actually MUCH better. I am going to the other meeting if we have had a good morning but if it has been hectic and I need a break - I'm taking one and there have been no questions asked. We have more staff on the floor, they have pulled some out of their offices.... big changes are in the offing next year - AND they are consulting us - far too often these decisions have been taken when the staff that actually work with the kids have been told to work unworkable regimes without consultation - this new attitude makes a refreshing change!! I am still looking for something lighter but will only take one I really want - don't want to go from frying pan into the fire.
DS bought us an all singing and dancing steamer for Christmas - just had chicken with lemon, garlic and ginger and rice from it - it was very delish..........and hardly any washing up, and low calorie
Still not used any plastic but was up late so didn't take any dinner so succumbed to the butty shop today - will have to be a bit more disciplined over the next few days. Its payday Thursday so will pay cc off as planned - then its ds birthday on Friday and it's a bit of a tradition to go out for a meal - he doesn't go out much so want to carry on with it. I will need to be extra careful next month too just to pull everything back into line and make extra payments into saving account towards paying off 0% card if I am going to pay it off in September. I always like February as the nights get a bit lighter and there are only 28 days till another payday!!

Not sure why but I've felt very low and tired today - dh offered to take me over to family in Yorkshire to deliver Chrissy pressies for great nieces that didn't get over before Christmas with the snow and then events seemed to overtake everything. We called off at family about half way there and saw their new house but my get up had well and truly left me. I was pleased it was turning foggy as I used this as my excuse not to travel further over the Pennines. I didn't want to knock back the offer really as dh is really trying to 'look after' me recently, but I feel as if I am rebuffing his kindness a lot!! Came home and haven't done much else. Dh did tea again - made toad in the hole and mushroom and tomato - and all without being asked too. I really must shake myself up or something drastic. I had a really few good days earlier in the week too- BLAH - I hate feeling so lethargic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have got the beginings of a coldsore that started last night - I have been applying remedy so hopefully that will stop it getting worse. Not sure if it is that that is making me feel so out of sorts or not. An early night is on the cards for tonight.
Never managed a nsd as bought flowers as a gift for family we visited in new house as housewarming present - didn't know what to get as they have downsized from 4 bedroom house to warden controlled 2 bedroom bungalow and have soooo much stuff still to get rid of.
Much tidying needs doing tomorrow - the kitchen is looking very cluttered - I seem to have acquired a lot of gadgets since my kitchen was done 3 years ago and my nice clear worktops are looking messy. Not sure quite what to do as my kids have bought most of them for me and I know if they go in cupboards I'll never use them..... but don't use them to their full potential now.....will ponder a bit longer about that - don't feel I've had them long enough to put them on ebay or anything. Ah well - if that's my biggest worry in life - life must be good LOL
Have a good weekend everyone

Just looked back at the plan I'd posted for the week - HA - know I know why I never bother planning - I managed to stick to one day
- I am far too impulsive and too disorganised to stick to a menu plan like that. But most meals came from freezer - just a trip to the butty shop let it down.
Sooo - my plan for next week is just to have meals from food in house - I will need milk and bread but have enough food in from big shop at Christmas still to last the week at least for meals.
I did stick to the no plastic rule and still have £5 left in my purse - that will last me :money:- I am quite pleased with that bit of my master plan at least
SO in freezer/cupboard I have -
Spag bol sce
salmon
chicken breast
pork ribs
sausages
hm fish cakes
minced beef
steak
a few potatoes
rice
pasta
noodles
frozen veg
eggs
cheese
Therefore I have no need to shop other than milk and bread until next weekend at the earliest. I find the batch cooking really suits my needs - my downfall - is NOT using what I have but going out and shopping for more as if I still have a family at home.
I'm hoping I might be able to eek out another couple of weeks and do another BIG shop and batch cook at half term.January spends - £587.580 -
I'm the same can't menus plan but don't mind just getting by with what we have in freezers/cupboards etc.0
