Dd's bleeding seems to have finally stopped last night and they let dd go home this evening :D:D:D

I have offered my services to go and help dd and had played with the idea of going down this weekend anyway - but thought she would appreciate the time on her own with her oh. Will have a long chats on the phone instead and go down within the next few weeks - thinking about it -preferably after payday - I have well and truly blown the budget this month :eek: - bad timing all round, I really hadn't budgetted for a trip to London the week after Christmas, but it will sort itself out over the next month or so. Some things just have to be done - there is no way I wouldn't have gone to see her.

I'm not sure how, but I totally forgot my MOT for my car too :o - so that's been £165 today. I had vowed to pay my new cc off every month religiously - only using it for the points  - I might have to pay over 2 months with the unexpected expenses that have cropped up. Not the best start to 2010 - I WILL DO BETTER. - I have put the MOT on my callendar so it never happens again.

So for now it will be
a storecupboard challenge to the end of the month
    dinners taken into work everyday
    no take-aways at all
conserving petrol (use dh's car :p)

I am determined not to get any further in debt - even if my plan to pay off isn't going quite to plan :rolleyes:

It has rained here today but there's still a fair bit of ice around on the pavements of the side roads - if it re-freezes tonight there is no way I'm walking out tomorrow. So that should help me have a NSD.

I feel totally shattered - think the last few weeks have caught up with me.

The course I'm taking is just a type of refresher course for qualified foundation stage practitioners - I thought it was just going to be a matter of turning up every Thursday evening - doesn't look like it LOL - I am actually quite looking forward to the challenge - it must be a good 15 years since I did any proper study. Might even spur me to do more ;)

Started having a clean up in the house today - it wasn't too bad but still several Christmassy things knocking about. We pulled decorations down in a bit of a hurry the morning before I got the train to London. I think I was a bit shell shocked when I came back last weekend and all I did was put a wash on. Anyway I started well - did the lounge then STOPPED :o My get up and go had got up and gone - so I listened to my body - sat down and had a play on here instead :D - stairs will be hoovered in time - just not today:p

Managed a NSD - but only because dh had walked around to Morrisons with me for a couple of bits - and I'd left my purse on the side in kitchen - not even on purpose - so he got his wallet out :j - there was a cloud of moths reported flying round the shop as we were leaving :rotfl::rotfl:

Had a long chat with dd - she is doing ok but had a shock how weak she feels now she is home - her weight has plummetted - she was like a beanstalk to begin with and has lost over 2 stone since the end of October - if I didn't know better, I would look at her and assume she had an eating disorder. But I know she has been trying to eat and not been able to keep food down. It's quite intriguing that she has been back and forth to doc since Oct and her condition hadn't been picked up dispite scans, cameras and the like. Did someone miss something or is it one of those things that don't show up until it gets to a certain stage. Don't supposed we'll ever know and energy should be spent fighting getting her fit and not the hospital that finally sorted her. But it made me wonder if it could have been found sooner:rolleyes:

Just had a lovely piece of steak cut from the piece of sirloin I bought at Christmas. Delicious and a rare treat - it's something I'll do again when beef is on offer!! Very MSE :money:

Beanilou - have you got a diary. I pop into Taxi, Hypno, SH and CBW to catch up now and again - but not come across one for you.

Thanks to you all for your good wishes over the last few weeks - it has been nice to know there have been people to talk to 'virtually' - especially when I was down in London :A :A

  • It sounds like your mind & body needed a rest yesterday - I'm glad you were able to sit and let things settle for a bit.
Its hard when you have doubts about how good the medical process was, but I think you're right about energy going into getting her fit and healthy again. Is she able to eat again now?

Best wishes to you and your family

    Cheers

Beanilou - They have her on protein drinks and told her to build her eating up as and when she fancies. She is under 6 1/2 stone and is 5ft 6 tall - so you can tell how thin she is now. Her appetite is picking up nicely, but she is only managing mouthfuls rather than full meals - but little and often is good for now!!

RIGHT - time to get back on track me thinks - soooooo......

I have bought a divided notepad to keep a spending diary and a food/exercise diary - this has kept me on track in the past. I suppose this was an un-necessary spend but if it does it's job should earn it's keep.

I have been shopping today - I had dh with me so not as MS as I would have liked but not too bad really and dh needed a little pampering as he has been upset about dd too. It's easy to forget his needs because he never complains and just gets on with it - but sometimes his face is a real giveaway and he tends to go within himself - a man thing I reckon - so a fridgeful of yoghurts and a few bits he fancied along the way in Mr T..... and indulging in home made steak and kidney puds today for him isn't too bad in the great scheme of things

I am writing a foodplan for the week here - most if not all of it is in the house already. Breakfasts will be cereals/porridge or toast. The fruitbowl is flowing over so lots of snacks of fruit.

MONDAY Lunch - turkey soup from freezer, ryvita and cottage cheese
Tea - new potatoes, carrots, steak and kidney (pastry for dh) - had roast potatoes and a bit of pastry too!

TUESDAY Lunch - salad, ham, ryvita
Tea - chicken stirfry including - peppers, mushroom, onion, chicken & rice - had steak, jacket potato and salad glass of wine instead

WEDNESDAY Lunch - beans on toast
Tea - salmon, brocolli, cheesy potato bake

THURSDAY Lunch - cottage cheese, ryvita, apple salad had shepherds pie instead
Tea - hm fishcake, wedges and peas had sandwich instead as was out at 6pm for course

FRIDAY Lunch - cheese salad sandwich
Tea - spag bol, garlic bread had chicken, veg, rice cooked in steamer instead -(that I'd got for stir fry when went out on Tuesday)

    SATURDAY bacon,egg, mushroom brunch
Tea - HM pizza, salad, jacket potato had hm toad in hole mushroom and tomato

SUNDAY sausage, egg, beans on toast brunch
Tea - Roast gammon/ham/or pork (from freezer), roast potatoes , cabbage (from garden) and frozen veg.

We still have boxes of Christmas biscuits/chocolates and Christmas cake around so desserts will consist of these - I'm allowing 1 treat a day for myself - not the continual graze as of late LOL

OK...... it's written down now - let's hope I get a bit further than last time I wrote my plan a couple of weeks ago.

I have no intention of using ANY plastic be it debit or credit card until pay day (28th) - the cash in my purse will have to do - if that runs out penny jar here I come.
